　EMSの国際スピード郵便を使いました。

これで３回目です。

日本から７日間でここの郵便局に着くことが解りました。

　こちらで買えないものが手に入りました。

麦茶は毎日飲むので重要です。

グルーミングの５枚替え刃と歯ブラシは買い足しました。

足の攣りには６８番です。

浅漬けには昆布がいります。

　こちらで歯の治療をしたので食べ物が歯に挟まる事はなくなりました。

歯のクリーニングをしているので口内は問題ありません。

不整脈は治り、血圧は正常です。

ただLDLコレステロールが高いので食餌と薬で下げている最中です。

日本のハシカ怖いですね、脅威の感染率です。

This is my third time using it.
I learned that it takes 7 days for packages to arrive at this post office from Japan.

 I was able to get some things I couldn't buy here.

Barley tea is important because I drink it every day.

I bought an extra five-blade razor blades and a toothbrush.
Number 68 is good for leg cramps.
I need kelp for quick pickles.

 I had dental treatment here, so food no longer gets stuck in my teeth.

My teeth are cleaned regularly, so there are no problems in my mouth.

My arrhythmia has been cured, and my blood pressure is normal.

However, my LDL cholesterol is high, so I'm currently trying to lower it with diet and medication.

Measles in Japan is scary; the infection rate is alarming.

外を走るバイクの排気音がよく聞こえます。

　最近この地ではバイクの消音器を外して大きな音を立てて走るのが流行っています。

明るいうちはバイクの排気音はあまり気になりません。

暗くなるとまわりが静かになるので排気音が耳につきます。

８時を過ぎると車の通行量が減ります。

９時になると静かになります。

私はこの時間になると眠くて仕方がありません。

９時半には寝ています。

I can clearly hear the exhaust sounds of motorcycles driving outside.

 Recently, it's become popular around here to remove the mufflers from motorcycles and ride around making a lot of noise.
The exhaust noise isn't too noticeable during the day.
When it gets dark and the surroundings become quiet, the exhaust noise becomes more noticeable.
After 8 PM, car traffic decreases.
It becomes quiet by 9 PM.
By this time, I'm incredibly sleepy.
I'm usually asleep by 9:30 PM.

買い物は忍耐と試練。 Shopping is a test of patience.

 

　シーフードのパスタが食べたくてイカとエビを買いにゆきました。

いやー、参りました。

レジがものすごい混雑でした。

この写真を撮った場所に来るまで１５分かかりました。

待ち時間を紛らわすためにスマホでゲームをしている人が多いですね。

私はたったままストレッチをして時間をつぶしました。

It took me 15 minutes to get to the spot where I took this photo.
Many people were playing games on their smartphones to pass the time.
I stood in line and stretched to kill time.

津波に注意。 Beware of tsunamis.

 フィリピン沖で発生したマグニチュード8.2の地震を受け、アジア各地に津波警報が発令された。

米国地質調査所によると、地震は現地時間午前7時40分（グリニッジ標準時日曜午後11時40分）直前にミンダナオ島沖で発生した。

米国政府機関は、被災地域の住民に対し、水から上がり、海岸や港から離れるよう勧告した。

柔らかい酸味が好きです。 I like mild acidity.

 

　コーヒーのドリッパーは液の流れの良いもの・容器内の滞留時間が少ないものを使っています。

上の写真のドリッパーは底に穴が３つあいています。

　下の写真のガラス製は一つの穴で流れが良くなっています。

穴の開閉が出来るので湯を注いだあと穴を閉じて挽いた粉を蒸らしましたが今はしていません。

　コーヒーの淹れ方は４６メソッドが私にはあっているようです。

この淹れ方は味がクリアで雑味がないので気に入っています。

　ドリッパーは使い勝手を試しているうちに４個になりました。

穴が一つのドリッパーは豆の挽目を荒くすれば同じ味が再現できると思っています。

挽目を調整するのが面倒で試していません。

時々豆の挽目をかえたり湯の温度をかえて味を楽しんでいます。

 I use a coffee dripper that allows for good liquid flow and minimizes dwell time within the container.

The dripper in the photo above has three holes in the bottom.

 The glass one in the photo below has only one hole, but the flow is good.

I used to be able to open and close the hole after pouring in hot water to let the ground coffee steep, but I don't do that anymore.

 The 46 Method of brewing coffee seems to suit me best.
I like this method because it produces a clear, no off-flavor coffee.

 I ended up with four drippers after trying out different ones to see which worked best.

I believe that with a single-hole dripper, I can reproduce the same flavor by grinding the beans more coarsely.

However, I haven't tried it because adjusting the grind size is a hassle.

I occasionally change the grind size or water temperature to enjoy different flavors.

２つの驚き。 There were two different surprises.

 

　アジアンタムの樹勢が悪い。

葉に勢いがない。

開いた新緑の葉が茶色に変色してゆく。

　モールに園芸用の蛭石があったので驚いた。

喜んで買った。

早速アジアンタムの鉢植えの土に混ぜた。

これで鉢の通気性も排水性も良くなるだろう。

次世代の若芽があるのでこれの成長に期待します。

　驚いたことがもう一つありました。

日本の小学生の給食です。

これを成長ざかりの世代に食べさせているんですね。

落ちぶれたくないものだとつくづく思いました。

The leaves lack vitality.

The newly opened, green leaves are turning brown.

 I was surprised to find gardening vermiculite at the mall.

I happily bought it.

I immediately mixed it into the soil of my potted maidenhair fern.

This should improve the soil's aeration and drainage.

There are new shoots, so I'm looking forward to their growth.

 There was another thing that surprised me.
It was the school lunches for elementary school students in Japan.
They're feeding this to a generation in their formative years.
I was truly saddened to see the country go to the dogs.

涼しいと言っても２９℃。 Even though it's cool, the temperature is 29°C.

　きのうの午後に植木の水やりをしました。

バケツに何杯も水を運びました。

少し曇り気味で涼しいので助かりました。

　ダイビングに行ったときは入道雲がでてじりじりした強い日差しが好きです。

自分のいる場所が変わればものの見方考え方が変わります。

自分の考え方にいくつもの側面を見ました。

悪い事を良いと言っているわけではないのが救いです。

It was a bit cloudy and cool, which was a big help.

 When I go diving, I love the scorching sun and towering cumulonimbus clouds.

My perspective and way of thinking change depending on where I am.

I've seen many different sides to my own way of thinking.

It's a relief that I'm not saying that bad things are good.

砂浴び用の植木鉢は雨で濡れないようにテラスの内側に置きました。

　雀は水浴び用に置いたボールの縁にとまって水を飲むだけです。

水浴びをしてくれません。

海の浅瀬で水浴びをしているのでしょうか。

もしそうだとしたら雀が羽を震わせて水しぶきを上げる光景を見てみたいですね。

I moved the flowerpot for their sand baths inside the terrace to protect it from the rain.

 I also put out a ball for the sparrows to bathe in.
They only perch on the edge and drink the water.
They don't bathe in it.
Perhaps they bathe in the shallow waters of the sea?
If so, I'd love to see the sight of sparrows shaking their wings and splashing water.

　モンステラの茎から出た気根は地面にささり根となりました。

たくましすぎる成長です。

　アボカドは３日目にいい具合に熟しました。

一晩冷蔵庫でねかせてからいただきました。

未だ外見からアボカドの良否は判断できません。

半分に割ったアボカドにレモン汁と塩をふって食べています。

　医者からLDLコレステロールを下げろと言われています。

今月の２５日に血液検査をします。

幸運なことに不整脈が無くなりました。

LDLコレステロールを下げてダイビングを再開したいと思っています。

バターは一口も食べていません。

トーストに厚切りのバターをのせて食べるのが好きでした。

獣脂も絶っています。

検査まであと４週間です。

 My doctor has told me to lower my LDL cholesterol.

Fortunately, my arrhythmia has disappeared.
I want to lower my LDL cholesterol and resume diving.
I haven't eaten a single bite of butter.
I used to love eating toast with thick slices of butter.
I've also cut out animal fats.
I have four weeks until the test.

注ぎ口がよく出来ています。

液垂れがありません。

ドバッと一度に沢山の不用な油を注ぐことがなくなりました。

ストレスの少ないものを使っています。

The spout is very well designed.
There's no excess oil dripping.
I no longer pour in large amounts of unnecessary oil all at once.
I use products that are less stressful to use.
