荷物の到着が早くなりました。 The delivery time has become much faster.

 

　５/１８に荷物を日本で発送しています。

私の住んでいるタグビララン市の郵便局から荷物到着の連絡は5/24にありました。

７、８年前は日本を出てから荷物が届くまで2～3週間かかっていました。

荷物の到着が早くなりました。

　今回コーヒー豆の焙煎度をミディアムにしました。

前回の焙煎度シナモンと比べて味がどう変わるか楽しみです。

私の淹れているメソッドは浅煎りで湯温９３℃です。

中煎りで湯温８８℃ですから５℃下がります。

楽しみです。

　納豆作りは何十回もトライしましたがうまくゆきませんでした。

納豆菌の種類をかえました。

大豆を買いに行ったら　売り切れよ　と言われました。

前途多難な予感がします。

 The shipping company dispatched the package from Japan on May 18th.
I received notification of the package's arrival from the post office in Tagbilaran, where I live, on May 24th.
Seven or eight years ago, it took two to three weeks for a package to arrive after it left Japan.
The delivery time has become much faster.

 I changed the roast level of my coffee beans to medium this time.
I'm looking forward to seeing how the taste changes compared to the previous cinnamon roast.
My brewing method uses a light roast with a water temperature of 93°C.
For a medium roast, the water temperature is 88°C, so it's 5°C lower.
I'm excited!

 I've tried making natto dozens of times, but it never worked.

I changed the type of natto bacteria I used.

When I went to buy soybeans, the shopkeeper told me they were sold out.

I expect this will be a difficult process.

小さな梯子。 The small ladder.

 

　小さな梯子を踏み台がわりに買いました。

庭に面した出入口は風通しが良いのでベッドパッド等をよく干します。

下の写真の右側にある椅子を使って干していました

先日干している最中に足の形が椅子のクッションについているのが気になりました。

張替えたきれいなクッションを汚してはいけないので踏み台を買った次第です。

小さな梯子はアルミ製で軽く持ち運びも簡単なので重宝しています。

The entrance facing the garden is well-ventilated, so I often hang out bed pads and other items there to dry.

The small ladder is made of aluminum, so it's light and easy to carry, making it very useful.

 

　散歩をしていると旗が張り巡らされてフィエスタの表示がありました。

この場所がウブハンとマンガの境目なんだだなあと思いました。

地図上で町の境目はわかっていも実際はどこが町の境かわからなかったんです。

タグビララン市の北端がマンガでその次がウブハンです。

そして二つの町はいずれもひなびたのんびりとした雰囲気のある漁師町です。

この街に移り住んで本当に良かったと思っています。

　バイクでボホールトロピックスまで６，７分です。

BQモール迄１０分くらいです。

ICM迄１２，３分です。

海辺で潮風に吹かれて暮らしているのでアレルギーも落ち着いています。

金属の棚が塩分で錆びますが買い替えればいいので錆びは気にしていません。

スペインや中南米、フィリピンなどのカトリック文化圏で発展した「祭り」や「祝祭」を指す言葉です。

主に地域の守護聖人を祝う宗教行事に、音楽やダンス、豪華なごちそうが合わさった伝統的なイベントを意味します。

 As I was walking, I saw flags everywhere and signs indicating a fiesta.
I realized this was the border between Ubhan and Manga.
Even though I knew the town boundaries on the map, I didn't really know where the actual border was.
Manga is at the northernmost point of Tagbilaran City, and Ubhan is right after it.
Both towns are quaint, laid-back fishing villages.
I'm so glad I moved to this town.

 It's a 6-7 minute motorbike ride to Bohol Tropics.
It's about a 10-minute ride to BQ Mall.
It's a 12-13 minute ride to ICM.
I live by the sea, surrounded by the sea breeze, so my allergies are under control.
The metal shelves rust from the salt, but I don't mind the rust because I can replace them.

   *Fiesta

This term refers to a "festival" or "celebration" that developed in Catholic cultural areas such as Spain, Central and South America, and the Philippines.

It mainly refers to a traditional event that combines religious ceremonies celebrating the local patron saint with music, dance, and lavish feasts.

So, I have no choice but to loosen the laces when I wear them.

　買い物に行きました。

相変わらずレジには長い列が出来ています。

”稼働するレジの数をを増やせばいいのになあ”と思いました。

”私の前に入りなさい”と中年の婦人が笑いながら私に声をかけてくれました。

彼女も自分の番が来るのを長い時間列に並んで待っていました。

大変ありがたい事でしたが”ありがとうございます、ここで待ちます”といって頭を下げました。

私は心の中で”ありがとうございます”ともう一度彼女にお礼を言いました。

ティンエイジャーのコンテスト。 A teenage contest.

　モールのステージでティンエイジャーのコンテストをしていました。

若い男の見物客が多かったです。

彼女か知り合いが出場するので応援に来たのでしょう。

　こちらの洋服屋さんで作ったショートパンツのウエストの幅広の平ゴムが思ったより早く伸びてしまいました。

ウエストを調節する紐は細めで滑りやすい材質です。

ショートパンツのウエストがずり落ちて気持ちが落ち着きません。

平ゴムを買ってきてショートパンツにゴムひもを通しました。

慣れない作業なので手の指が攣りました。

　ウエストのゴムひもが適度にしまり快適です。

滑りやすい易いひもは外しました。

こちらは暑いので日に何回かシャワーを浴びます。

その都度ショートパンツとTシャツは交換して着ています。

ストレスが一つ減りました。

　タグビララン市ではゴムひもをガーターと呼びます。

ゴムひもを買いたいと言っても相手に通じず時間がかかりました。

The shorts kept slipping down, which was bothering me.
I bought some elastic and threaded it through the shorts.
It was an unfamiliar task, so my fingers cramped up.

 The elastic drawstring at the waist provides a comfortable, snug fit.
I removed the slippery drawstring.
It's hot here, so I shower several times a day.
I change my shorts and T-shirt each time.
One less thing to hassle with decreased.

 In Tagbilaran, elastic bands are called garters.

Even though I said I wanted to buy an elastic band, the person didn't understand, and it took a long time to buy one.

まる１日検査と診察をした、疲れはてた。 I spent the whole day doing tests and consultations, and I'm exhausted.

 

　この日はとても忙しかった。

朝食を抜いて血液検査にゆこうと思ったら足が攣った。

痛くて仕方がないがラジオ体操をしたら筋が伸びたのかだいぶ楽になった。

　病院で血液検査の申込みの時に昨夜の食事の時間を聞かれた。

本当の食事の時間は１４時間前だ、１０時間前だと答えた。

　血液検査・尿検査、超音波検査、心臓の検査をした。

その後主治医と心臓の専門医の診察を受けた。

　血液検査で肝臓、腎臓、その他の臓器に異常はなかった。

ただコレステロール値が高かった。

心臓の検査では異常はなくなった、多分禁酒のせいだろう。

血圧も正常だった。

　心臓の専門医からコレステロールが高いのでダイビングは許可できないと言われた。

どうにも困ったことだ。

ダイビングが出来るようになるため禁酒をしたのに残念だ。

　LDLコレステロールは中性脂肪ではないので運動しても減らない。

食事の内容をかえて（LDLを増やす飽和脂肪酸を減らす）減らさなければいけない。

好きなバター、チーズ、ヨーグルト、クリームチーズや肉のおいしい脂肪の部分はすべて飽和脂肪酸でした。

　トーストやケーキのバターをどうする、おいしい霜降り肉を赤身肉に変える、パスタやピッザのチーズはどうする、果物と一緒に食べていたヨーグルトはどうする、目玉焼きやプレーンオムレツはどうする・・・

問題は山積みです。

　第１ステップとしてバターを植物油に置き換える、クリームチーズはやめてチーズケーキは諦める。

肉の脂身をやめて赤身肉に切り替える。

チーズ、ヨーグルトの食べる量を半分にする。

果物と野菜の量は減らさない。

運動量は減らさない。

禁酒は続ける。

これで７月のコレステロール再検査に向けて頑張ってみます。

　主治医は４月に日本に観光旅行に行きました。

診察が始まる前に「寒かったけどよかった」「また行きたい、何度でも行きたい」と私にいいました。

 It was a very busy day.
I skipped breakfast and was about to go for a blood test when my leg cramped up.
It was incredibly painful, but after doing some radio calisthenics, the muscle stretched out, and I felt much better.

 When I signed up for a blood test at the hospital, they asked me what time I ate last night.
My actual meal was 14 hours ago, but I answered 10 hours ago.

 I underwent blood tests, urine tests, an ultrasound, and a heart examination.
Afterward, I saw my primary care physician and a cardiologist.

 Blood tests showed no abnormalities in the liver, kidneys, or other organs.
However, my cholesterol levels were high.
My heart examination showed no abnormalities, probably due to quitting drinking alcohol.
My blood pressure was also normal.

 My cardiologist told me, "Your cholesterol is too high, so you're not allowed to go diving."
This is quite a problem.
I even quit drinking so I could go diving, so this is disappointing.

 LDL cholesterol is not a triglyceride, so it won't decrease with exercise.

I need to change my diet (reduce saturated fatty acids that increase LDL) to reduce it.

My favorite butter, cheese, yogurt, cream cheese, and the delicious fatty parts of meat are all saturated fatty acids.

 What to do with the butter with toast and cakes, how to replace delicious marbled pork with lean meat, what to do with the cheese on pasta and pizza, what to do with the yogurt that was eaten with fruit, what to do with fried eggs and plain omelets...
The problems are piling up.

 As a first step, I'll replace butter with vegetable oil, eliminate cream cheese, and give up cheesecake.

I'm going to stop making cakes that use butter and change to chiffon cakes that use vegetable oil.

I'll switch from fatty meat to lean meat.
I'll cut my cheese and yogurt intake in half.
I won't reduce my fruit and vegetable intake.
I won't reduce my exercise.
I'll continue abstaining from alcohol.
I'll try my best with these measures in preparation for my cholesterol re-examination in July.

 My doctor went on a sightseeing trip to Japan in April.
Before the examination began, she told me, "It was cold, but it was great," and "I want to go again, I want to go many times."

アメリカのイラン介入で1500ペソに値上がりしていました。

　米国の議員が大統領に「なぜイランに介入する」のか質問しました。

大統領は「ホルムズ海峡を解放するためだ」と答えました。

議員は「あなたが介入する前は海峡の通行は自由だった」と切り返しました。

Almost all Japanese people have a declining level of culture and behavior.

やはり水量も欲しいです。 I still want more water after all.

 

　節水のため水量が少なく水圧の強いシャワーヘッドに替えましたが・・・

水量が少ないと石鹸をきれいに洗い流せません。

水圧があり水量も適度に多いシャワーヘッドに換えました。

　シャワーを浴びてさっぱりしてリラックスしたいんです。

シャワーを浴びたあと気のせいかもしれませんが石鹸が肌に残っていると気持ちが落ち着かないんです。

気持ちって生きていくうえで大切ですよね。

なんかいやだなあ　という気持ちを引きずりたくないんです。

気分次第　という言葉があります。

気分次第で食べ物の味も変わるし、見ている風景も変わります。

自分の気持は大切にしたいですね。
