　朝買い物にゆきました。

それでもレジに長い時間並びました。

開店と同時に店に入ればレジで待たずにすむかもしれません。

これといった予定はありませんがレジに並んで時間を無駄にするのはいやです。

　モールの帰りにいつもの八百屋によりました。

これでもう何も買うものはありません。

新しい年の朝の買い物の仕方を考えました。

朝の洗濯の時間をずらすのは嫌だし・・・

ルーチーンを変えるのは大変です。

 I baked a fruitcake and relaxed, eating it while sipping green tea.

I thought about how I'd do my morning shopping in the new year.

I don't want to have to change the time I do my morning laundry...

Changing my routine is hard.

　毎回同じ記事で恐縮です。

カスピ海ヨーグルトが５００ml出来上がりました。

　今回はこのヨーグルトの入っている容れ物のことです。

写真の容れ物ともう一つ小型の容れ物をこちらに来てすぐ買いました。

我慢して今まで使ってきましたが２つとも蓋と本体の螺旋のかみ合わせが悪いんです。

蓋が閉まりにくく、開けずらいんです。

ダイソーも出来たことですし新しい容器を買おうと思ってでかけました。

買おうとするたびに"昭和生れのもったいない"が頭をもたげてきます。

”家に２つあるのにもったいない”　”使える容器があるのに買うなんてもったいない”

買いかえが出来ません。

困っています。

I've been putting up with it until now, but the spiral closures on the lids and bodies of both containers don't align properly.
The lid is hard to close and hard to open.
Now that Daiso has opened, I decided to go out and buy a new container.
I was born in the Showa era.
Every time I try to buy something, the thought of "it would be a waste" rears its head.
"It would be a waste to buy something when I already have two at home." "It would be a waste to buy a new container when I have one that I can use."
I still haven't been able to buy replacement containers for them.
I'm at a loss.

　ざるを洗いながら思いました。

このざるは日本で１５年以上使っているね。

こちらに来てから１８年経ったね。

無印は長持ちするね。

家の中にあるもので何が一番古いのか気になりました。

 This set of plates was a wedding favor for my friend.

　このスプーンは私の生後まもなく使いだしたものです。

食卓に私だけ家族と違うスプーンがでてくるので母に聞きました。

”なんで僕だけスプーンが違うの”

”そのスプーンは柔らかく歯を傷めないのであんたの離乳食の時から使っているの”

”嫌だったら変えるけど”

”変えなくていいよ”

推定７９年使っています。

 I started using this spoon shortly after I was born.
I was the only one at the dinner table with a different spoon than the rest of the family, so I asked my mother.
"Why am I the only one with a different spoon?"
"That spoon is soft and doesn't hurt your teeth, so I've been using it since you were eating baby food."
"If you don't like it, I can change it."
"You don't have to change it."
I've been using it for an estimated 79 years.

　この山桜の木の皮を貼った茶筒は私が物心ついたころから使い続けています。

たぶんこれが一番古いものだと思います。

　タブレットが時々誤作動するようになりました。

タブレットのOSは２０２１年以降更新されていません。

仕方がないので工場出荷時に戻してから再起動するとOSが更新されました。

面倒くさいタブレットです。

　シャワーの給湯器から水が漏り温度の調整が出来なくなりました。

新しいものと交換しました。

　ハードウエアの店で”シャワーの給湯器が壊れました”どれが一番いいですかと聞きました。

"シャワーを浴びたいので今日買ったものを取り付けてもらえますか"と聞くと"今日の午後私が取り付けます"というありがたいお話でした。

彼に勧められたものを買いました。

彼は熟練した電気技師でした。

　日本製の給湯器は３年で駄目になりました。

冷蔵庫３台のうちの２台は日本製です、冷えがよくありません、異音を出します。

他の１台はよく冷えて静かです。

　こちらの家電売り場から日本製は姿を消しました。

円の価値と家電の品質は連動しているようです。

 Water leaked from my shower water heater, and I could no longer adjust the temperature.
I replaced it with a new one.

At a hardware store, I said, "My shower water heater is broken," and asked the clerk which one would be best.

"I want to be able to take showers, so could you install the one I bought today?" I replied, and he said, "I'll install it this afternoon."
I bought the one he recommended.
He is a skilled electrician.

 My Japanese-made water heater broke after three years.
Two of our three refrigerators are Japanese-made, and they don't cool well and make strange noises.
The other one cools well and is quiet.
 Japanese-made products have disappeared from the home appliance section here.
