　身体が重く気持ちが悪く下痢をした時期がありました。

薬害だな　とおもい処方された３種類の服用量を調べました。

　この写真のオレンジ色の錠剤APLXABANは血栓の形成を抑制する働きがあるようです。

1回2.5mg・1日2回投与なので適量です。

 There was a time when I felt heavy and nauseous and had diarrhoea.
Thinking this might be due to my medication, I looked up the dosage of the three types I had been prescribed.
The orange APLXABAN tablet, shown in the photo, seems to suppress the formation of blood clots.
It is taken at a dose of 2.5 mg twice a day, which is the correct dosage.

　Atorvastatinとは血液中の悪玉コレステロール（LDLコレステロール）・中性脂肪（トリグリセリド）値を下げるようです。

通常、成人にはアトルバスタチンとして10mgを1日1回経口投与する。
なお、年齢、症状により適宜増減するが、重症の場合は1日20mgまで増量できる。

　80mg1日1回処方されていたので10mg1日1回に減らしました。

 Atorvastatin appears to reduce levels of 'bad' cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides in the blood.
Adults are usually prescribed 10 mg of atorvastatin to be taken orally once daily.
Depending on age and symptoms, the dosage may be increased or decreased, and in severe cases, it can be increased to 20 mg per day.
It was prescribed 80 mg once daily to me.
I reduced it to 10 mg per day.

 　citicolineは、細胞膜のリン脂質の合成中間体となる天然化合物のようです。

1日500～2,000 mgを1～2回に分けて服用が適正値のようです。

1日2000ｍｇを2回に分けて服用していたので・1日500 mgを2回に分けて服用に減らしました。

　薬を減らしてから２日後に下痢は止まり背中の強張り手指と下肢の攣る症状はなくなりました。

薬でやられた胃は良くなりません。

 Citicoline is a natural compound that appears to serve as a synthetic intermediate for phospholipids in cell membranes.
The recommended dosage is 500–2,000 mg per day, divided into one or two doses.
Initially, I took 2,000 mg per day, divided into two doses, but I reduced this to 500 mg per day, also divided into two doses.
Two days after reducing the dosage, the diarrhea stopped, and the stiffness in my back, as well as the cramps in my fingers and legs, disappeared.
However, my stomach, which was damaged by the medication, has not shown any improvement.

　昨日今日と続けて二日間採血に行きました。

昨日は朝食を食べているからダメと断られました。

その時に採血の前日は午後１０時以降は物を食べないようにいわれました。

　昨夜は午後６時過ぎに夕食をとりました。

今日は前日の夕食後から時間が経ちすぎているからダメとまた断られました。

食後何時間なら検査を受けられるのか教えて下さいと頼みました。

イントネーションのおかしい日本人の検査技師も来て私の質問を聞いてくれました。

私は彼女たちの言っていることが理解できませんでした。

食後１０時間　と決まるまで３０分ほど時間がかかりました。

待っている人に　遅くなってごめんなさい　と謝ると　いいんですよ　と笑ってくれたのが救いでした。

英語力がないのは悲しいですね・・・

 I went to the hospital to have my blood drawn two days in a row, yesterday and today.
Yesterday, I was turned down because I had eaten breakfast.
The person in charge told me not to eat anything after 10 pm the day before the blood draw.
  I had supper at 6 pm last night.
Today, I was again turned down because too much time had passed since dinner the night before.
I asked them to tell me how many hours after eating I could take the test.
A Japanese technician with a strange intonation also came and listened to my question.

I couldn't understand what they were saying.

It took about 30 minutes for their answer to match - 10 hours after eating.

I apologised to those waiting, "I am sorry to keep you waiting." They laughed and said it was OK.

Those words and that smile were a lifesaver for me.

Sadly, I'm not good at English...

薬物治療。 medication.

 

　今服用している薬は今まで服用してきたものとは全く別種の薬だ。

悪心はするし胃がやられた。

夜間の睡眠を妨げる副作用もあるようだ。

３っ日前に引いた鼻風邪が長引いているのでよけい堪える。

　アレルギー症状の出ない快適な生活を送ってきた身にはとてもつらい。

今まで苦諦の生・老・病・死とは縁のない生活おくってきた。

今は　老・病　の辛さを実感している。

 The medication I'm taking now is completely different from anything I've taken before.
I'm feeling nauseous and my stomach is upset.
It seems to have a side effect of preventing me from sleeping at night.
The cold I caught three days ago is lingering, which makes it even more unbearable.
This is very hard for me, as I've always lived a comfortable life without allergy symptoms.

the noble truth of suffering 
 old age, sickness, and death.

病院で受けた検査の結果が出た。 The results of the hospital's detailed examinations I had are in.

　検査をたくさん受けました。

CT・血液・Ｘ線・超音波・心電図等、結果は全て正常でした。

先日の２４時間の心電図で原因が解りました。

心臓の弁の劣化で時々発生する泡が血栓の原因でした。

薬物治療が始まりました。

血液の固まらない薬を処方されたようです。

出血は厳禁で髭剃り・歯磨きにも注意が必要になりました。

出血があった場合はすぐに病院で治療を受けるように指示を受けました。

　心原性脳梗塞（心臓で血栓ができた血栓が原因の脳梗塞）は再発率が高く生存率も低いので生き方を見直すことにしました。

一日々を大切にします。

一日々を楽しみます。

終活を始めました。

 I underwent many detailed examinations at the hospital.
CT scans, blood tests, X-rays, ultrasounds, ECGs, etc., all showed normal results.
The cause was revealed by a 24-hour ECG the other day.
The clots were caused by bubbles that occasionally form due to deterioration of the heart valves.
Medication therapy has begun.
I will be prescribed medication to prevent blood clotting.
Bleeding is strictly prohibited, and I need to be careful when shaving and brushing my teeth.
I was instructed to seek medical treatment immediately at a hospital if I experience bleeding.

 Cardiogenic cerebral infarction (cerebral infarction caused by a blood clot forming in the heart) has a high recurrence rate and a low survival rate, so I have decided to reconsider the way I live my life.
I will cherish and enjoy each day.
I have started preparing for the end-of-life planning.

日本と医療のシステムが違うのでこちらの医師は２つの病院に診察室をもっています。

　

　担当の医師からCHEEVEEさんに”心臓の検査の結果を今日中に担当医から聞くように”TEXが入り私に転送されてきました。

病院の受付に行くと３階の心臓医の病室へ行くよう指示されました。

心臓医の病室に行くと今日は休診でした。

担当医のところに行くとこちらも休診でした。

　心臓の検査室に行くと心臓の検査結果の書類を渡されました。

心臓医の診察時間を予約してくれました。

”担当医の予約も今日とったほうが良い”と言われたので予約をとりました。

　午前１１時半に病院へ行って昼休みを挟んで終わったのは午後４時でした。

私から何回も”What's #$%& mean?"と聞き返されても丁寧に対応してくれた受付の方・医局の方・検査技師の方に御礼申し上げます。

 I went to the hospital at 11:30am and finished at 4pm after a lunch break.
I would like to thank the receptionist, medical staff, and technicians who responded politely even when I repeatedly asked, "What's @#$% mean?"

I hadn't taken a shower in 24 hours.
I felt refreshed after taking a shower.
All tests are over.
I'm tired because I've been constantly undergoing tests for 10 days since the 20th.
I'm going to bed early tonight.

It's easy to read.

 Medication dosage in the Philippines is based on American standards, so it's the same as for Caucasians.
It's roughly double the dosage in Japan.
Whenever I receive medication, I always check the name of the medication, its side effects, and the maximum dosage in Japan.
Otherwise, I end up taking twice the Japanese dosage.

　午後４時に胸と脇腹にセンサーを貼り付けました。

心電図検査が始まりました。

明日の夕方の４時までシャワーを浴びることが出来ません。

　何時に何をしたか記入する用紙を渡されました。

これが結構面倒です。

　これが最後の検査です。

１１月末まで薬を飲んで血液検査をする予定です。

 At 4 pm, sensors were attached to my chest and side.

The electrocardiogram test began.

I won't be able to shower until 4 pm tomorrow.

 I was given a form to write down what I did and when.

This is quite a hassle.

 This is my last test.

I will be taking medication and having blood tests until the end of November.

　血液の泡の検査と紙に書いてありましたが造影剤を使った心臓の検査でした。

浅い呼吸・深い呼吸・最後にいきんだ呼吸をして検査は終わりました。

心臓に異常はありませんでした。

心臓担当の医師は親指を立ててgoodを繰り返していました。

明日の午後から２４時間の心電図をとる予定です。

　日本の病院では想像できない賑やかな検査でした。

造影剤をいれる器具をつける注射では看護婦さんが　基地を作ろう々　とハミングしていました。

検査技師はスマートフォンで医師を呼び出して大声で　早く来てください　だめだめもうこちらは用意がすんでいいるんだから　と話していました。

また別の検査技師のスマーフォンが変わった呼び出し音が鳴りました。

　一人で行ったので付き添いがいません。

超音波検査は何回も受けています。

検査技師の方が検査に使う薬剤を私の代わりに薬局へ行って買ってくれました。

The paper said it was a test for blood bubbles, but it was actually a heart test using contrast.
I took shallow breaths, then deep breaths, and finally strained for breath before the test was over.
There were no abnormalities with my heart.
The heart doctor gave me a thumbs-up repeatedly.

As the nurse attached the contrast injection device, she was humming "Let's set up a base.''
The Medical Technologist called the doctor on his smartphone, loudly telling him to hurry up, ``No, no, we're already ready.''
Another Medical Technologist's smartphone rang with a strange ringtone.

I went alone, so I was unaccompanied.
I've had ultrasounds many times.
A kind Medical Technologist went to the pharmacy to purchase the medication I needed for the test.

通院10/28．Visited the hospital 10/28.

　退院してから初めての外来診療を受けました。

３時の予約でした。

時間の余裕を見て１時半に受付に行きました。

２０２号室の前に２人診察を待っていました。

こちらの診察時間は長いです。

３０分から１時間です。

受付の人に断りコーヒーを飲みに行きました。

コーヒーをゆっくり飲みながら時間をつぶしました。

1.心音に異常はないが２４時間心電図をとることが決まりました。

2.血中の窒素の泡の検査を受けることが決まりました。

3.投薬を続け一定期間後に血液検査をすることが決まりました。

4.検査技師と打ち合わせをしました。

4a血中の窒素の泡の検査は10/29となりました。

4b心電図検査は10/30となりました。

 I had my first outpatient appointment since being discharged from the hospital.
My appointment was for 3:00 PM.
I headed to the reception desk at 1:30 PM to give myself plenty of time.
Two people were waiting in front of Room 202.
Consultations here take a long time.
They range from 30 minutes to an hour.
With the receptionist's permission, I went out for a coffee.
Killed time while slowly sipping my coffee.

 1. There were no abnormalities in my heart sounds, but it was decided that a 24-hour electrocardiogram would be taken.
2. It was decided that I would undergo a test for nitrogen bubbles in my blood.
3. It was decided that I would continue my medication and then have a blood test after a certain period of time.
4. I had a meeting with the Medical Technologist.

4b The electrocardiogram is scheduled for 10/30.

それは突然やってきた。 It came suddenly.

　書こうか書くまいか迷いました。

同年齢の皆様の予防になればと思い書くことにしました。

　10/23の退院後の身体も言語も日常生活に支障ありません。

今迄の様に散歩、ラジオ体操、ストレッチをしています。

回復してくれた身体に感謝しています。

病院の薬を飲みながら血栓を溶かす納豆を食べています。

予兆は手の痺れとこわばりでした。

　シャワーから上がってバスタオルで身体を拭いていると右手の力が抜けて一瞬クラッとしました。

目を閉じました。

何回繰り返しても右目だけ閉じることが出来ませんでした。

計量カップで水を飲むと右の唇の端から水が漏れました。

困ったなと思いました。

　何故かわかりませんが隣の港の景色が見たくなりました。

めまいもふらつきもないので散歩を４０分しました。

散歩中に鼻歌を歌い呂律がまわらない事に気が付きました。

頭の中ははっきりとしていますが歌うと舌がまわりません。

　部屋に戻ってから大きなザボンを半分食べましたが咀嚼が上手くできませんでした。

コーヒーを淹れて飲みました。

コーヒーカップ位の飲み口のRがあれば右の唇の端から液体がこぼれることはありませんでした。

洗濯物を干すのを止めました。

線香をたてて神仏に祈りベッドに横になりました。

翌朝右手の力は正常に戻り右目も閉じられるようになりました。

病院に行き強制入院させられました。

　フィリピンの多くの医師はアメリカで医療を学んでいます。

医療のシステムもアメリカ式です。

４日間広い個室に入り点滴を受けながら検査を受けました。

最初の検査のCTスキャンで脳に血栓はありませんでした。

翌日から医師は原因を突き止めるためありとあらゆる検査をしました。

血圧、糖尿病、腎臓、肝臓、心臓、頚椎、頸動脈、血液等全て正常でした。

私の身体の機能が回復しているので脳神経の医師は退院を許可しました。

心臓の専門医は私の心臓に不整脈がありそのため微細な血栓が生まれていると判断したようです。

２４時間の心電図、前立腺肥大検査の話が出たので退院し通院治療に切り替えました。

　

　保険なしで治療を受けました。

カードで支払いましたが私が思っていた何倍も々高額でした。

　こちらの病院は完全看護ではありません。

付き添いが必要です。

入院時から点滴をしているので動きが制限されます。

付き添い（朝８時から午後６時まで）の手配をしてくれた喫茶店のマネージャーのチェビーには言葉に表せない感謝をしています。

 I was unsure whether to write about it or not.
But I decided to write about it in the hope that it might help prevent the disease in others of my age.

 Since being discharged from the hospital, it has not interfered with my daily life at all.
I am grateful that my body has recovered.
I have been taking walks, doing radio exercises, and stretching.
While taking the medicine prescribed by the hospital, I am also eating natto, which dissolves blood clots.
The early signs were numbness and stiffness in my hands.

 When I got out of the shower and was drying myself with a bath towel, my right hand lost strength, and I felt dizzy for a moment.
I closed my eyes.
No matter how many times I tried, I just couldn't close my right eye.
When I drank water from a measuring cup, water leaked from the corner of my right lip.
I knew something terrible had happened.

 I suddenly wanted to see the view of the neighboring harbor.
I wasn't feeling dizzy or unsteady, so I walked for about 40 minutes.
I hummed a walk and realized I couldn't speak clearly.
My head was clear, but when I tried to sing, my tongue wouldn't move.

 After returning to my room, I ate half of a large pomelo, but I couldn't chew it properly.
I made some coffee and drank it.
When I drank from the coffee cup, no liquid spilled from the corner of my right lip.
I stopped hanging out the laundry.
I lit some incense, prayed to the gods and Buddha, and lay down in bed.
The next morning, the strength in my right hand had returned to normal, and I was able to close my right eye.
I went to the hospital and was forcibly admitted.

 Many doctors in the Philippines were trained in the United States.
The medical system is also American-style.
I was hospitalized in a large private room for four days and underwent tests while receiving IV drips.
A CT scan showed no blood clots in my brain.
The doctors performed all kinds of tests to determine the cause.
My blood pressure, diabetes, kidneys, liver, heart, cervical spine, and blood all came back normal.
As my physical functions have recovered, the neurologist gave me the go-ahead to be discharged from the hospital.
The cardiologist determined that I had an irregular heartbeat, which was causing tiny blood clots to form.
After a discussion of a 24-hour electrocardiogram and prostate enlargement test, I was discharged and switched to outpatient treatment.

 I received treatment without insurance.
I paid by card, but it was several times more expensive than I had expected.

 This hospital does not provide full-time nursing care.
I needed someone to accompany me.
I was on an IV drip from the time I was admitted, so my movements are limited.
I am grateful beyond words to Chevy, the manager of the coffee shop, who arranged for someone to accompany me (from 8 am to 6 pm).

　右上の奥歯を抜歯しました。

これで自分の歯が４本なくなりました。

私の歯根は深いので痛みを覚悟していました。

麻酔後痛みを感じずにあっという間に歯が抜けました。

今迄の抜歯の痛みは何・・・という感じです。

３日間化膿止めを飲みます。

歯の措置は歯肉の盛り上がった一月後から始めます。

抜歯した周辺の歯を磨く時は　ゆっくり　柔らかく　と言われました。

 I had my upper right molar extracted at the dentist.
I now have four of my own teeth missing.
My tooth has a deep root, so I was prepared for pain.
After the anesthesia, the tooth fell out in a flash without me feeling any pain.
I feel like what I've experienced from tooth extractions up until now...is a mystery.
I'll be taking anti-inflammatory medication for three days.
Dental treatment will begin one month after the gums have healed.
The dentist advised me to brush the teeth around the extracted tooth slowly and softly.

寝汗はまったく出なくなりました。

平熱も上がりました。

血圧もまあまあです。

ありがたいことと感謝しています。

　寒気がして寝汗をかいていた頃つかった木とパイプで作った布団干しが不要になりました。

もったいないのパイプで作った布団干しを使っています。

干したときに場所をとるシーツと厚手の乾きにくい足拭きを扇風機で乾かしています。

ベランダの物干し場は洗濯物をたくさん干すことができます。

外に干せばいいのに室内で干している自分の意固地にあきれています。

一人暮らしですから問題になりませんが連れ合いがいれば間違いなく紛争の種になったでしょう。

 It seems I've been freed from the effects of the coronavirus vaccine.
I no longer sweat at night.
My normal body temperature has gone up.
My blood pressure is fine.
I'm grateful for this.

 I no longer need the futon air rack made from wood and pipes that I used when I used to have night sweats.
It would be a waste to throw it away, so I now use the pipe airing rack instead.
I use a fan to dry sheets, which take up a lot of space, and thick, slow-drying foot towels.
I can hang out a lot of laundry on the drying rack on the veranda.
I'm amazed at my own stubbornness for hanging out laundry indoors when I could just hang it outside.
I live alone, so it's not a problem, but if my wife were here, it would definitely be a source of conflict.

義歯を入れたので異常感を感じています。

なれるまでしばらく様子を見ます。

歯に食べ物が挟まることがなくなりました。

という感覚から解放されることは精神衛生上から良いことです。

食事後フロスを使ってはさまったものを外す煩わしさから解放されました。

　次は右上の奥歯です。

来週から治療に入ります。

２、３週間かかりそうです。

結果はおってお知らせします。

I had a natural white denture fitted for my lower left molar.

I've been experiencing a strange sensation since getting the denture.

I'll wait and see for a while until I get used to it.

I no longer get food stuck between my teeth.

It's good for your mental health to be free from the feelings you have while eating -- wondering if something will get stuck, feeling uncomfortable if it does, feeling like something's stuck, or that something's stuck.

I no longer have to floss after meals to remove anything that gets stuck.

Next is my upper right molar.

Treatment starts next week.

It's likely to take 2-3 weeks.
