My dental treatment is finished today.

Mr. Itami, that's not true.
The late actor, film director, and author Itami Juzo was highly versatile.
In his book Women, he wrote that drinking shochu diluted with hot water can make you wake up the next morning refreshed, as you were when you were a boy.
I read that and tried to achieve it by drinking various shochu, diluted with hot water.
Shochu diluted with hot water is good.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to experience that with shochu diluted with hot water.
I've been sober for over three months.
Initially, I felt restless, my mind was not clear, and I had difficulty falling asleep, waking up multiple times during the night.
After a month, I felt somewhat calmer, and my body felt slightly better.
After about two months, my mood and physical condition started to improve.
I felt sleepy at night; I fell asleep more easily and slept through the night without waking.
I never get less than 7.5 hours.
I don't feel like going back to sleep after waking up.
When I wake up, I stretch and get out of bed immediately.
I wake up feeling refreshed.
So much time has passed that I can't remember the refreshing feeling of waking up as a boy.
When I wake up in the morning, there are no dirty dishes in the sink.
When I wake up in the morning, I'm hungry, so I eat some fruit and yogurt, then hang out the mattress on my bed and put the clothes I was wearing, as well as the sheets and pillowcases, in the washing machine.
Then I take a shower.
I still have the urge to drink, even three months after quitting alcohol.
When that happens, drinking a few glasses of cold water, soda, or barley tea helps to subdue the urge.
When I'm hungry, I feel like drinking alcohol, so meals are essential.
I take medication to prevent blood clots caused by atrial fibrillation.
I've now reduced the number of medications I take to just two.
An anticoagulant to prevent blood clots from forming, and a drug that prevents the liver from producing fat.
I'll have my heart reexamined in February and March.
I hope I'm getting better, but I don't think a heart that's been damaged by drinking for so long will recover so easily.
I'm going to focus on the food I cook.

A vacuum tumbler.
I've quit smoking for over 30 years, so I have no desire to smoke again.
I don't think about cigarettes again.
I drank a lot of alcohol in one go.
And I've been drinking for 60 years.
I drank three small bottles of cold beer, followed by a whiskey and soda.
I felt sleepy after drinking about a quarter of the bottle of whiskey.
I would wake up in the middle of the night thirsty, so I would drink the chilled water I had prepared and go back to sleep.
I kept an eye on my blood pressure and liver values, but I didn't pay any attention to my cardiac arrhythmia or atrial fibrillation.
I still want to drink alcohol.
I wonder how long it will take for alcohol to become like cigarettes.

my sore throat.
Even drinking water hurts.
My temperature is 36.6°C.
I can think of what might be causing my sore throat.
I was shopping and waiting in line at the checkout when I heard someone nearby coughing in agony.
I thought that was a painful cough.
Cough droplets can travel 2 to 3 meters, so I didn't want to wear a mask to protect myself.
I had forgotten the lessons of the coronavirus pandemic.
My throat hurts, so I'm eating porridge and fruit salad.
In this country, there is a blue tablet called BIOFLU in cold medicine.
Taking this makes my body feel relaxed and makes me sweat profusely.
I changed clothes twice.
It's a medicine that you take once every six hours.
I took the second tablet.
I feel much better.

I slept soundly last night.
I had my painful tooth removed at the dentist and took some painkillers.
I was prescribed an anti-inflammatory medicine, which has helped my swollen lymph nodes shrink.
I'll make do with porridge until the wound heals.
Umeboshi (pickled plums) go well with porridge; they taste good.

I had a tooth extracted.
They are dental flosses used to remove food from between teeth.
I had kept them in a case so I could use them immediately after eating.
Now that I no longer need them, I put them in a plastic bag, wrapped a rubber band around them, and hid them under my spare toothbrush.

My dental treatment is also coming to an end.
The dentist asked me if my heart was okay.
He then said that he couldn't extract the tooth because my gums were damaged.
The dental treatment that had been ineffective for years is finally coming to an end, as I have found a good dentist.

I had a tooth placed in.
The gum tissue has also hardened.
I had a molar placed on my upper right.
Now that there's no air leakage, my pronunciation should improve.
Voiceless and voiced TH.
Voiceless and voiced F and V.
I really hope it gets better...
I'll have one more tooth replaced.
I'm having the dental crown removed on my lower right and a new tooth put in.
I had my lower left molar replaced.
Since then, things haven't gotten stuck in my teeth.
Before, things would get stuck in three places, and I would have to floss or use a floss threader to clean them after meals.

You should definitely look into it and fix it. In fact, it would be better to do so.
Thinking this might be due to my medication, I looked up the dosage of the three types I had been prescribed.
The orange APLXABAN tablet, shown in the photo, seems to suppress the formation of blood clots.
It is administered at 2.5 mg twice daily, which is the correct dosage.
Adults are usually prescribed 10 mg of atorvastatin to be taken orally once daily.
Depending on age and symptoms, the dosage may be increased or decreased; in severe cases, it may be increased to 20 mg per day.
It was prescribed 80 mg once daily to me.
I reduced it to 10 mg per day.
The recommended dosage is 500–2,000 mg per day, divided into one or two doses.
Initially, I took 2,000 mg per day, divided into two doses, but I reduced this to 500 mg per day, also divided into two doses.
Two days after reducing the dosage, the diarrhea stopped, and the back stiffness and the cramps in my fingers and legs resolved.
However, my stomach, which was damaged by the medication, has not improved.

Sadly, I'm not good at English...
Yesterday, I was turned down because I had eaten breakfast.
The person in charge told me not to eat anything after 10 pm the day before the blood draw.
I had supper at 6 pm last night.
Today, I was again turned down because too much time had passed since dinner the night before.
I asked them how many hours after eating I could take the test.
A Japanese technician with a strange intonation also came and listened to my question.
I apologised to those waiting, "I am sorry to keep you waiting." They laughed and said it was OK.
Those words and that smile were a lifesaver for me.
Sadly, I'm not good at English...

medication.
The medication I'm taking now is entirely different from anything I've taken before.
I'm feeling nauseous, and my stomach is upset.
It has a side effect: it keeps me from sleeping at night.
The cold I caught three days ago is lingering, which makes it even more unbearable.
This is very hard for me, as I've always lived a comfortable life without allergy symptoms.
Until now, I've lived a life free from
the noble truth of suffering
old age, sickness, and death.
Now I'm feeling the pain of old age and sickness.

The results of the hospital's detailed examinations I had are in.
CT scans, blood tests, X-rays, ultrasounds, ECGs, etc., all showed normal results.
The cause was revealed by a 24-hour ECG the other day.
The clots were caused by bubbles that occasionally form due to deterioration of the heart valves.
Medication therapy has begun.
I will be prescribed medication to prevent blood clotting.
Bleeding is strictly prohibited, and I need to be careful when shaving and brushing my teeth.
I was instructed to seek medical treatment immediately at a hospital if I experience bleeding.
Cardiogenic cerebral infarction (cerebral infarction caused by a blood clot forming in the heart) has a high recurrence rate and a low survival rate, so I have decided to reconsider the way I live my life.
I will cherish and enjoy each day.
I have started preparing for the end-of-life planning.

The cut from the scissors didn't stop bleeding easily.
What a careless mistake.
A restaurant with a great view.
