港のカラオケ事情。 The karaoke situation at the port.

 

　最近は外部音を遮断するヘッドホンを使う機会が減りました。

うるさいカラオケの時にはスピーカーの音量をあげてスピーカーのエイジングをしていました。

カラオケの音量が下がったのでその機会も減りました。

コロナ時に生まれたカラオケ船は何故かカラオケの音量が半分位になりました。

カラオケ船の個人利用も減りました。

鍋釜食器といっしょにカラオケセットを持ち込んで食後に歌っている人もいます。

港の反対側にカラオケ店が出来ましたがうるさくありません。

外部音遮断が売り物のヘッドホンは周りがシーンとしている時に使っています。

これはいい音がします。

When karaoke was too loud, I would turn up the volume on the speakers to age them in.
Since the karaoke volume has dropped, I've had fewer opportunities to do this.
For some reason, the karaoke volume on the karaoke boats that appeared during the coronavirus pandemic has been reduced to about half.
Personal use of karaoke boats has also decreased.
Some people bring karaoke sets along with their pots and pans and dishes and sing after meals.
A karaoke shop has opened on the other side of the port, but it's not noisy.
I use headphones that are advertised as blocking out external noise when it's quiet around me.
That sounds great.

匂いと臭い。 Sent and Bad smell.

　酒をやめてもうすぐ５ヶ月になります。

２月の初め頃から匂いがよくわかるようになりました。

はじめのうちは戸惑いましたが今は嗅覚が敏感になり良い匂いと同時に悪い匂いも感じるようになりました。

酒を飲みだす前は鼻がよかったことを思い出しました。

脳は今やっとアルコール漬けから立ち直りつつあります。

　耳はとても良く聞こえます。

味は飲酒時よりも美味しく感じます。

目は早期の老眼で読書用と普段用のメガネを使い分けています。

目もメガネをかけなくてすむようにならないかなあとむしの良いことを思っています。

 It's been almost five months since I quit drinking.
I've been able to smell things better since the beginning of February.
At first, I was confused, but now my sense of smell has become more sensitive, and I can detect both good and bad smells.
I remembered how good my nose was before I started drinking.
My brain is finally recovering from being soaked in alcohol.

 I can hear very well.
Food tastes better than when I was drinking.
I'm suffering from early presbyopia, so I use separate glasses for reading and everyday use.
I wish I could not wear glasses at all.

代書屋さんで書類を作ってもらい任意保険に入りました。

　役所の登録は小一時間で終わりました。

役所の処理能力は年々あがっています。

１０年前は４，５時間かかりました。

 I took my motorcycle for a vehicle inspection.

There were no problems with exhaust fumes.

I had a notary prepare the necessary documents and take out voluntary insurance.

 The registration at the city hall took just under an hour.

The city hall's processing capacity is improving every year.

Ten years ago, it would have taken four or five hours.

グッドダイブショップに行ってきました。 I went to Good Dive Shop.

　肺炎を人にうつす心配がなくなったのでGoodDiveShopの神田さんに入院時のお礼に行ってきました。

肩の荷がおりて楽になりました。

　退院後咳は出ません。

入院先で強い抗生物質を使ったようで消化器をやられました。

昨日あたりからお腹が落ち着いてきました。

外出したかったんですがお腹が心配で外出できませんでした。

少しづつ通常の体調に近づいています。

 Now that I no longer have to worry about spreading pneumonia to others, I went to thank Kanda-san from Good Dive Shop for all he did for me when I was in the hospital.
That lifted a weight off my shoulders and made me feel at ease.

 I haven't had a cough since being released from the hospital.
It seems the hospital used strong antibiotics while I was in the hospital, which caused some issues with my gastrointestinal system.
My stomach and intestines have been feeling better since yesterday.
I wanted to go out, but I was worried about number 2, so I couldn't.
I'm slowly getting back to normal health.

　退院後１週間が過ぎました。

検診に主治医のところに行きました。

回復の経過は良好です。

咳が全くでなくなりました、血圧は正常です。

薬の計画表を作ってくれました。

次の診察は１ヶ月後です。

 A week has passed since I was discharged from the hospital.
I went to see my doctor for a checkup.
My recovery is going well.
My cough has completely disappeared, and my blood pressure is normal.
My doctor made me a medication schedule.
My next appointment is in one month.

入院。 Hospitalization.

 

　救急搬送されて１４日に入院しました。

建物が新しく清潔な病院でした。

　熱は２７℃に下がっていました。

まず最初に頭のCTスキャンがありました。

血中酸素が８３と低かったので酸素吸入のあと点滴が始まりました。

点滴は左手の甲に針を刺しました。

　ヘルパーさんがここは高額な病院なのと教えてくれました。

食事は前回入院した病院と質と量が全く違いました、私の熱で荒れた舌でもおいしく感じました。

定期的に真夜中も酸素濃度・脈拍・血圧・点滴の交換をしてくれました。

担当医から悪性の肺炎と病状の説明を受けました。

１４日に入院して１８日の夕方退院することが出来ました。

今回の入院にあたってご手配をいただいたGoodDiveShopの神田さんに御礼を申し上げます。

　１８日から自宅で療養しています。

２３日になって肩甲骨まわりの痛みがとれ身体がらくになりました。

肩の荷がおりた感じです。

 I was rushed to the hospital and admitted on the 14th. 

The hospital was new and clean. 

 My fever had dropped to 27°C. First, I had a CT scan of my head. 

My blood oxygen level was low at 83, so I was given oxygen, and then an IV was started.

 The IV was administered through a needle into the back of my left hand. 

 The caretaker told me that this was an expensive hospital. 

The quality, quantity, and taste of the food were completely different from what I had at the hospital last time. 

It tasted good, even on my fever-ridden tongue. 

Nurses regularly checked my oxygen concentration, pulse, blood pressure, and changed my IV line, even in the middle of the night. 

My doctor explained to me that I had malignant pneumonia and explained my condition. 

I was admitted on the 14th and discharged in the evening of the 18th.

 I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Mr. Kanda of Good Dive Shop for arranging my hospitalization. 

  I have been recuperating at home since the 18th.
On the 23rd, the pain around my shoulder blades went away, and I felt much more relaxed. 

It felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders.

上手く起き上がれなかった。 I had trouble getting up.

　２/14は熱は３７℃に下がりました。

汗は相変わらずたくさんでていました。

市販の風邪薬が無くなったので歩いて向かいのサリサリストアーに買いに行きました。

ありませんでした。

　きょうは部屋の掃除の日です。

ヘルパーさんにメールで風邪薬を御願いしました。

　食事をして着替えて眠りました。

シャワーを浴びるために何回も起きあがろうとしましたがうまく起きあがれませんでした。

✔血中酸素濃度が下がっていたために筋肉が正常に機能せず起き上がれなかったようです。

入院時の血中酸素濃度は８３でした。

今も両ふくらはぎの筋肉がかたい状態で痛みます。

　午後ヘルパーさんが来てくれました。

ヘルパーさんの手配で救急車・入院の運びとなりました。

 By February 14th, my fever had dropped to 37°C.

I was still sweating profusely.

I had run out of over-the-counter cold medicine, so I walked to the sari-sari store across the street to buy some.

It wasn't there.

 Today is room-cleaning day.

I emailed the helper to ask for some cold medicine.

 I had something to eat, got changed, and went to sleep.

I tried to get up several times to take a shower, but I couldn't get up properly.

✔It seems that my muscles were not functioning properly because my blood oxygen level had dropped, which prevented me from getting up.

My blood oxygen level at the time of admission was 83.

Both of my calf muscles are still stiff and painful.

 The helper came in the afternoon.

The helper arranged for me to be taken to an ambulance and admitted to the hospital.

　洗濯物を干していると甘い匂いがながれてきました。

モンステラの実が熟しています。

〇パイナップル、バナナ、パッションフルーツを混ぜたような濃厚な甘みがあり、非常に美味な「幻のフルーツ」と評されます。

と記されていますが体調不良なので食べる気になりません。

午後２時の気温は３０℃です。

 While I was hanging out the laundry, I noticed a sweet smell wafting through the air.

The Monstera fruit is ripe.

It has a rich sweetness that's like a mix of pineapple, banana, and passion fruit, and is described as a delicious "phantom fruit."

But I'm not feeling well, so I don't feel like eating any.

The temperature at 2 pm is 30°C.

１２日の夜から寝汗がさらに多くなった。 From the night of the 12th, I started sweating even more in my sleep.

　2/9月曜からフィリピンの市販薬の風邪薬を飲んでいました。

１３日は昼間から汗が大量に出ました。

この日体温は２８．５℃になりました。

腹があまり空かないので日中はコーヒー2杯とチーズケーキを少し食べました。

植木に水をあげて洗濯をしただけで疲れたので夕食を早めにとって寝ました。

　日本から届いた食材や調理器具には触らなかったのでこの時点で身体はダメージを受けていいたと思います。

 I had been taking over-the-counter cold medicine from the Philippines since Monday, February 9th.

On the 13th, I started sweating even more during the day.

My temperature reached 28.5°C that day.

I wasn't hungry, so I had two cups of coffee and a little cheesecake during the day.

I was tired just from watering the plants and doing the laundry, so I had an early dinner and went to bed.

 I hadn't touched the food or cooking utensils that had arrived from Japan, so my body was already damaged by this point.

小雨の中小包を受け取りに行った。 I went to the post office in light rain to pick up my package.

 

　02/12に郵便局から小包が届いている連絡が携帯に入っていました。

雨がやんでくれないので小雨の中小包を郵便局まで取りに行きました。

この事が肺炎の原因になり１４日に入院することになりました。

　じつは2/7に少し頭が痛かったんです。

ヘルパーさんに月曜は病院へ行きなさいねと言われていました。

言われたとおりに病院へ行っていれば入院せずに済みました。

人のいう事を聞かない罰を今回受けました。

 On 02/12, I received a message on my cell phone from the post office saying that a package had arrived.

As the rain wouldn't stop, I went to the post office in the light rain to pick up the package.

This led to pneumonia, and I ended up being hospitalized on the 14th.

 In fact, I had a slight headache on 2/7.

My caregiver had told me to go to the hospital on Monday.

If I had done as instructed and gone to the hospital, I wouldn't have had to be hospitalized.

This time, I was punished for not listening to others.

上品な甘さ。Refined sweetness

 

　日本茶を淹れていただきものの煎餅をかじり奥歯で噛みました。

焦げたしょうゆ味が口の中に広がりました。

お茶を一口すすってまた煎餅を食べました。

次回用に袋半分の煎餅を残しました。

　いただきものの干し柿を食べました。

普段食べている洋菓子の甘さと違った上品な甘さです。

種の周りの果肉がおいしいですね。

お茶を口に含んで甘さを楽しみました。

 I brewed some Japanese tea and took a bite of the rice cracker I had received as a gift, chewing it with my back teeth.
The taste of burnt soy sauce spread throughout my mouth.
I took a sip of tea and ate another rice cracker.
I saved half the bag for next time.

 I also ate the dried persimmon I had received as a gift.
It had a refined sweetness unlike the Western sweets I usually eat.
The flesh around the seed was good.
I took a sip of tea and enjoyed the sweetness.

スーパーボウル。 The Super Bowl.

　今朝はスーパーボウルの中継をEPSNで見ました。

シーホークスとペイトリオッツの対戦です。

　チケットの需要が多いため、スーパーボウルのチケットははぜいたく品の性質を持つようになりました。

カリフォルニア州サンタクララのリーバイス・スタジアムで開催された今年のスーパーボウルで最安値の座席は3800ドル超（約60万円）、平均価格は6200ドル以上だそうです。

　今でも思い出すたびに鳥肌の立つ試合があります。

１９７５年にスティーラーズのQBのテリーブラッドショーが逆転のタッチダウンパスを投げたた試合です。

パスを投げた後ダラスカーボーイズのディヘェンスに顎をヒットされ脳震盪を起こしました。

スティーラーズのディヘェンスではジャック・ランバートが好きでした。

このころの選手は給料が安くシ－ズンオフにアルバイトをしていました。

テリーブラッドショーは中古車のセールスマンをジャック・ランバートは自然観察の案内人をしていました。

今のプレイヤーは高額なサラリーを得ています。

It was a matchup between the Seahawks and the Patriots.

 Due to high demand, Super Bowl tickets have become a luxury item.
The cheapest seats at this year's Super Bowl, held at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, were over $3,800 (about 600,000 yen), and the average price was over $6,200.

 There is one game that still gives me goosebumps whenever I think about it.
It's the game in 1975 when Steelers quarterback Terry Bradshaw threw a game-winning touchdown pass.
After throwing the pass, he was hit in the jaw by a Dallas Cowboys defender and suffered a concussion.
My favorite Steelers defender was Jack Lambert.
Players at that time were low-paid, so they often had part-time jobs during the off-season.
Terry Bradshaw was a used car salesman, and Jack Lambert was a nature tour guide.
Players nowadays earn high salaries.

パングラオ島からの道路は工事が進みません。

タグビララン港からは海上に道路がのびました。

その道路は恋人たちの利用が多かったので今は進入禁止になりました。

タグビララン港は国際港になってから港が倍に拡張されました。

This road was often used by couples, so it is now off-limits.

Tagbilaran Port has doubled in size since it became an international port.

　時々小さなカニとヤドカリが部屋の中に入ってきます。

部屋の中を動き回ってしばらくたつといなくなります。

かわいいですね。

小さな隙間から入ってくるようです。

住まいから海まで20ｍくらいです。

ベランダを歩いている豆蟹やヤドカリは蟻に襲われないように庭に戻しています。

Sometimes small crabs and hermit crabs come into the room.
They drift around the room, then disappear after a while.
They're so cute.
They come in through small gaps.
The sea is about 20m from my house.
I return the small crabs and hermit crabs walking around on the veranda to the garden so they don't get attacked by ants.

楽しみが一つ増えるかもしれない。 I might have one more thing to look forward to.

 

　住まいの近くでピックルボールのコートを作っています。

コートはバトミントンと同じサイズのようです。

面白そうですね。

出来上がるのが楽しみです。

コートの前に駐車できるので迷惑駐車の心配はなさそうです。

 A pickleball court is being built near my house.
The court is the same size as a badminton court.
I saw the coat and thought it looked interesting.
I'm excited to see it completed.
There is space to park in front of the court, so there is no need to worry about nuisance parking.

　タグビラランのメインストリートにスターバックスの開店が間近のようです。

かなり大きな店舗です。

フィリピンのスタバには現地限定の「マンゴーグラハムフラペチーノ」や「ユベチーズケーキ」があるようです。

 A Starbucks will soon be opening on Tagbilaran's main street.
It's a large store.
It seems Starbucks in the Philippines will have locally exclusive items, such as the Mango Graham Frappuccino and Yube Cheesecake.

スマホ。 Smartphone.

　スマホのスイッチを入れるとドコモdocomoの文字が画面に浮かんできました。

新しいスマホと間違えてスイッチを入れました。

大きさは違いますが色が一緒です。

のんびりと弛緩して生きているのでささいな事を間違えます。

間違いが実害にならないことが幸いしています。

　docomoは理由のわからない高額請求を３ヶ月続けています。

いわれのない請求を受けないためにスマホのSIMカードをぬいて電源をOFFにしています。

そのせいでしょうか今月分の請求は基本料金のみでした。

日本に帰りドコモに着くまでこの状態を続けます。

　日本から電話がかかってくることはありません。

用事のある人はメールを送ってきます。

１０年前からメールの数は激減しました。

友人と仕事関係の知人が減っているので仕方のないことです。

　こちらではスマホは必需品です。

送金等の送金に電話番号とIDは必須です。

連絡は通話より安いメッセージが送られてきます。

私は不器用なのでスマホの小さなキーボードが苦手です。

連絡のメッセージが来るたびに返信の文を打ち間違えています。

返信に時間がかかります。

 When I turned on my smartphone, the words "docomo" appeared on the screen.
I turned it on by mistake, thinking it was my new smartphone.
The two smartphones are different sizes but the same color.
I live a laid-back life, so I make small mistakes.
I'm glad that my mistakes don't cause any real harm.

 Docomo has been charging me high amounts for no apparent reason for the past three months.
To avoid receiving unjustified charges, I've removed the SIM card from my smartphone and turned it off.
Because of that, this month's bill was only the basic fee.
I will continue this way until I return to Japan and reach the Docomo store.

 I never receive phone calls from Japan.
People who have business with me send emails.
The number of emails I receive has decreased dramatically over the past 10 years.
It can't be helped, as I have fewer friends and business acquaintances.

 A smartphone is a necessity here.
A phone number and ID are required for sending money.
Everyone communicates by messaging, which is cheaper than calling.
I'm clumsy and have trouble using the small keyboard on my smartphone.
Every time I receive a message from someone, I make mistakes when replying.
It takes me a long time to reply to them.
