　朝買い物にゆきました。

それでもレジに長い時間並びました。

開店と同時に店に入ればレジで待たずにすむかもしれません。

これといった予定はありませんがレジに並んで時間を無駄にするのはいやです。

カスピ海ヨーグルトが５００ml出来上がりました。

　今回はこのヨーグルトの入っている容れ物のことです。

写真の容れ物ともう一つ小型の容れ物をこちらに来てすぐ買いました。

我慢して今まで使ってきましたが２つとも蓋と本体の螺旋のかみ合わせが悪いんです。

蓋が閉まりにくく、開けずらいんです。

ダイソーも出来たことですし新しい容器を買おうと思ってでかけました。

買おうとするたびに"昭和生れのもったいない"が頭をもたげてきます。

”家に２つあるのにもったいない”　”使える容器があるのに買うなんてもったいない”

買いかえが出来ません。

困っています。

　シャワーの給湯器から水が漏り温度の調整が出来なくなりました。

新しいものと交換しました。

　ハードウエアの店で”シャワーの給湯器が壊れました”どれが一番いいですかと聞きました。

"シャワーを浴びたいので今日買ったものを取り付けてもらえますか"と聞くと"今日の午後私が取り付けます"というありがたいお話でした。

彼に勧められたものを買いました。

彼は熟練した電気技師でした。

　日本製の給湯器は３年で駄目になりました。

冷蔵庫３台のうちの２台は日本製です、冷えがよくありません、異音を出します。

他の１台はよく冷えて静かです。

　こちらの家電売り場から日本製は姿を消しました。

円の価値と家電の品質は連動しているようです。

 Water leaked from my shower water heater, and I could no longer adjust the temperature.
I replaced it with a new one.

At a hardware store, I said, "My shower water heater is broken," and asked the clerk which one would be best.

"I want to be able to take showers, so could you install the one I bought today?" I replied, and he said, "I'll install it this afternoon."
I bought the one he recommended.
He is a skilled electrician.

 My Japanese-made water heater broke after three years.
Two of our three refrigerators are Japanese-made, and they don't cool well and make strange noises.
The other one cools well and is quiet.
 Japanese-made products have disappeared from the home appliance section here.
The value of the yen and the quality of home appliances are linked.

待たずに清算できた。 I was able to pay without waiting.

　買い物客が多く店内は混雑していました。

バイクをとめるのも大変でした。

そのぐらいひどい混雑でした。

レジにキャッシャーが入っていたので待たずに精算できました。

年末だけじゃなくふだんもレジはフル稼働させてね。

　日本を１２／０８に出たEMS便が１２／１５にタグビラランの郵便局に着きました。

荷物の経路は日本→マニラ税関→タグビララン郵便局です。

７日間で着きました。

今迄と全く違う速さです。

コーヒー豆が届いたので喜んでいます。

手動のコーヒーミルがずっと欲しかったんです。

手でコーヒー豆を挽くと、均一な粒度になります。

電動グラインダーでコーヒー豆を挽くと、中くらいの粒、粗い粒、細かい粉が混ざった状態になります。

　ここに来た当時は　"市内の道路は未舗装で"　"市内に信号機は一つだけ"　でした。

今は舗装していない道路を見つけるのは大変です。

信号機はどこにでもあります。

　フィリピンで感心するのは政治意識の高さと80％を超える選挙の投票率です。

議員の贈収賄が発覚するとデモが起こりその議員の次回の当選は難しくなります。

　日本の投票率は５８％を超えません。

議員の贈収賄・不正な収入が発覚してもデモは起きず不正な行為を働いた議員が次回の選挙で当選する始末です。

両国の差は大きいですね。

　言語の問題は大きいですね。

英語を話せるフィリピン人は英語圏で沢山働いて高い賃金を得ています。

日本人は英語が話せないので国外に出て賃金の高い仕事を得ることが出来ません。

　ここにいると改善されてゆく国と後戻りしている国の差がはっきり見えます。

この国のモールでは高級品の品揃えが増えています。

日本では町のスーパーで買えた食べ物がデパートに行かないと買えなくなりました。

　話がそれてしまいましたね。

ここに書いたことは飾らない実感です。

　写真に写っていいないスニーカーやそのほかの品物の話はいずれ機会を見てブログにのせます。

 What is impressive about the Philippines is the high level of political awareness and the election voter turnout rate of over 80%.

When bribery by a member of parliament is discovered, demonstrations erupt, making it difficult for that member to be re-elected.

Japan's voter turnout rate never exceeds 58%.

Even when bribery and illegal income among lawmakers are uncovered, there are no demonstrations, and the lawmakers who committed the fraud are re-elected in the next election.

The difference between the two countries is enormous.

 Language is a big issue.

Filipinos who can speak English work in many English-speaking countries and earn high wages.

Japanese people cannot go abroad and get high-paying jobs because they cannot speak English.

 Being here, I can clearly see the difference between countries that are improving and those that are falling behind.
The malls in this country have a wider selection of luxury goods.
In Japan, food I could buy at the local supermarket is now only available at department stores.

　7月に日本で買ったチノパンのウエストがきつくなったので、ユニクロのオンラインで注文しました。

しかし、ログインできません。

ユニクロ社とチャットしました。

その結果、配送先が海外への転送会社に設定されていたため、パスワードが停止されていました。

これはユニクロの利用規約に記載されているようです。

どうしようもありません。

　いつも日本からこの国への荷物の配送は親切な転送コムさんにお願いしています。

フィリピンのクリスマス時の荷物と税関の遅れを忘れていました。

　前にディンギー（小型のヨット）を日本から１１月半ばに発送して手元に着いたのは翌年の３月半ばでした。

日本からこの国へは３、４日で到着しましたがそれからマニラの税関で缶詰状態になりました。

　今度の荷物はいつ手元に届くでしょうか？

早くて１月半ばでしょう。

普通に処理されれば２月半ばでしょう。

遅ければ３月になるかもしれません。

どうすりゃいいのよ思案橋です。

 I always use the friendly tenso.com service to deliver packages from Japan to this country.
I had forgotten about packages and customs delays during Christmas in the Philippines.

 I previously shipped a dinghy (small yacht) from Japan in mid-November, and it arrived in mid-March of the following year.
It arrived in this country from Japan in three or four days, but then it got stuck in customs in Manila.

 When will my next package arrive?
At the earliest, it will be mid-January.
If it's processed normally, it should be mid-February.
At the latest, it could be March.
I'm thinking about what to do, but I can't do anything.

　日本米を探しましたがどこのスーパーにも有りませんでした。

ネットで見ると日本米を売っていました。

フィリピン産の短粒米は避けて日本産のあきたこまちを注文しました。

　セルフォンに連絡が入りましたがビサヤ語なので意味がわかりません。

買い物の帰りに喫茶店のTOKOによりウエイトレスに　ビサヤ語は判りません　といってセルフォンを渡しました。

"通販の会社が今日品物を届ける"と書いてあるよと教えてくれました。

　家に戻り　もう午後の３時です　何時に来るんですか　と送信すると　近くにいるが場所がわからない　という返信がありました。

門の外に出て周りを見ているとトラックが停まりました。

品物を受け取りました。

重い思いをしてコメを運ばなくて良いので通販は便利ですね。

 I looked for Japanese rice, but couldn't find it in any supermarket.

I looked online and found that they did sell Japanese rice.

I avoided the short-grain rice grown in the Philippines and ordered Akita Komachi rice from Japan.

 I received a message on my cell phone, but it was in Visayan, so I couldn't understand it.

On my way home from shopping, I stopped by TOKO coffee shop and told the waitress I didn't understand Visayan, and handed her my cell phone.

She told me that a mail-order company said they would be delivering something today.

 I got home at 3pm and asked when you would arrive. 

He replied that he was nearby but unsure of his location.

I went outside the gate and looked around when I saw a truck parked there.

I picked up my order.

Mail order is convenient because you don't have to carry the heavy rice around.

　吊り下げ式の蚊取り線香入れを使っています。

肩からつって洗濯物を干したり、植木に水をあげても蚊に刺されません。

このまま床に置いて使うこともできます。

2つ同じものを買って良かったと思っています。

I can hang it from my shoulder and hang out laundry or water my plants without getting bitten by mosquitoes.

I can also just use it by placing it on the floor.

　選挙の投票日は10・11日と思っていました。

１２日に買い物に行くと駐車場は空いていました。

モールの中の酒類は販売禁止になっていたのできょうも投票日である事が解りました。

そのせいでしょうか開いているレジの数の少なく店内は大混雑です。

長い間レジの列に並んでいたので疲れきりました。

いつも思うんですが設置してあるレジの半数しか利用できません。

客を平気で列に並ばせておく無神経な商道徳に腹を立てています。

アイスクリームもいいけれど和菓子でお茶が飲みたいですね。

なんでみんな和菓子の餡を嫌うのか不思議です。

餡は豆で作ってあるので食物繊維の宝庫ですよ。

当たり前の話だけど美味しいお茶は甘みがあって香りがいいんですよ。

美味しい茶葉は高いから日本茶の喫茶店は採算割れしてしまうんでしょうね。

　今日はキリマンジャロのコーヒー豆を１ｋｇ買いました。

ハワイのコナコーヒーを飲んだことがないので豆を１００ｇ買いました。

値段は両方とも同価格でした。

コナコーヒーどんな味がするのか楽しみです。

　ものはついでとお茶屋さんで高いお茶を買いました。

今あるお茶は冷茶に回します。

楽しみが２っ増えました。

　最低気温２５℃が恋しいよ・・・

喉はエアコンの暖房でやられてハスキーボイスになりました。

I was surprised to find that there were only two types of coffee.

Once inside, I felt like taking off my hoodie and another layer.

Ice cream is good, but I'd rather have tea with Japanese sweets.

I wonder why everyone dislikes the bean paste in Japanese sweets.

Bean paste is made from beans, so it's a treasure trove of dietary fiber.

It goes without saying, but good tea is sweet and fragrant.

Good tea leaves are expensive, so I guess Japanese tea coffee shops are not profitable.

Today I bought 1kg of Kilimanjaro coffee beans.

I've never tried Kona coffee from Hawaii, so I bought 100g of beans.

Both were the same price.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Kona coffee tastes like.

 I also bought some expensive green tea from the Japanese tea shop while I was there.

I'll use the tea I have now for cold tea.

I now have two more things to look forward to.

 I miss the minimum temperature of 25°C...

The air conditioning has damaged my throat and made my voice husky.

暇つぶし。 Killing time.

　ダイソーに買い物に行ってきました。

目当ての物はありませんでした。

いろいろ買いましたが　サロンパス大判　ボディブラシ　網戸補修シール　が今日の三役です。

　早速シャワールームの網戸の傷に補修シールを貼りました。

補修箇所がモノクロで見にくいので緑の線を引きました。

シャワーを浴びている時にたまに蚊が入ってきます。

刺される心配はありませんがいい気持ちはしません。

網戸の傷は悩みでも心配事というほど大げさではありませんがなくなるとホッとします。

　日本にいるときにはダイソーに行ったことはありませんでした。

あれこれ見て歩くと時間が潰せます。

サイズの合わない小物が少し貯まりました。

I bought various things today, but the Salonpas large-size body brush and the mesh screen repair sticker were the three most important.

 I put the repair stickers on the scratches on the screen door of the shower room.

I drew a green line because seeing the repaired part in black and white was hard.

Mosquitoes sometimes come in when I am taking a shower.

I don't worry about being bitten, but I don't feel good about it.

The scratches on the screen door are not so exaggerated as to be a concern, but I feel relieved when they are gone.

 When I was in Japan, I never went to Daiso.

I can kill a lot of time by walking around looking at this and that.

I put the small items that didn't fit in the drawer.

裾上げに三日もかかった It took three days to hem it.

　ジーンズの裾上げがやっと終わりました。

ジーンズを買った日に裾上げに行きましたが午後の一時半にならないと担当者が戻らないといわれました。

２時間は待てないので止めました。

月曜に行くと担当者は今日は休みだといわれました。

３回目の今日裾上げが終わりました。

　こちらでは日本の裾上げのように裾をピンで留めません。

はいているスラックスをメジャーで計って裾上げする場所を決めます。

ところ変われば品変わるのサンプルですね。

 I finally finished hemming my jeans.

I bought some of the jeans and went to get them hemmed that day.

The clerk told me the seamstress would be back at 1:30 in the afternoon.

I couldn't wait two hours, so I decided not to.

When I went back on Monday, she told me that the seamstress was off today.

I finished hemming for the third time today.

うーん 仕方ないね

　痩せてウエストが細くなったのでリーバイスの５０１を２本買いました。

ウエストのサイズは２８です。

２０代のウエストに戻りました。

体重は２０代と比べると今は減っています。

２０代の時は太もものサイズに合わせてスラックスを買ってウエストを詰めていました。

腰とお尻の筋肉がなくなったので腰ではいてウエストを余らせる格好いいはき方はできません。

仕方がないですね・・・

I'm lighter now than I was in my 20s.

When I was in my 20s, I bought pants that fit my thighs and had a tight waist.

I don't have any muscle in my hips or butt anymore.

I can't wear pants that fit my hips with a loose waist for a cool look.

I guess there's nothing I can do about it.

ガス台を ミツクチコンロ に変えました

　使っていたガスコンロが傷んできたので新しいものに変えました。

モールの家電売場にウブハンに引っ越す時に人と時間の手配をして仕切ってくれた知人がいました。

挨拶をして　今日はなんの用事　と聞かれたので　ガスコンロを買いに来た　旨を伝えました。

ツウバーナー　スリーバーナー　と’聞かれたので　前からミツクチコンロが欲しかったので　スリーバーナー　と答えました。

何種類か見せてくれたので　どれがお薦めですか　と聞くと　写真の品物を選んでくれました。

ガス器具のメーカーだから使いやすいし丈夫だよ　と言って箱を開けてガス台を組み立ててくれました。

彼が　友人割引のチケット　を作ってくれたので割安で買うことが出来ました。

友人割引のチケットのお礼を言うと　ウブハンに住んでいるのか　と聞かれたので　勿論　と答えて笑って別れました。

頼りにできる人がいるのは心強く有り難いことです。

住まいに戻りガスコンロをセットして真ん中の小さな火口で湯を沸かしてコーヒーを淹れました。

気の所為でしょうがいつものコーヒーより少し美味しいような気がしました。

知人がコンロの空気の流入量を調整してくれたので青いきれいな炎で燃えています。

今まで使っていいたコンロでは鍋の底に黒い煤がつきました、煤とお別れ出来そうです。
