真向法。 Makkou-hou. ※Makkoo-ho is a traditional Japanese stretching method.

 　コロナワクチンで膝が痛くなって止めた真向法に取り組む

ことにした。

膝が痛いので心も身体もこのストレッチに反対しているのを

押し切って体を動かしている。

事前に数種のストレッチをしました。

片側ずつ肩を付けようと思ったが筋肉が凝り固まっていて足

腰・背中・肩の筋肉が伸びてくれない。

上半身を後ろに反らすと筋肉が痛くて辛くて背をベッドにつ

けるどころではない。

痛さに耐えきれず起き上がった。

そんな事を2時間繰り返したが凝り固まった筋肉は少しも伸び

てくれなかった。

　風邪で寒気がしているあいだスキー用の下着のフリースを

着て寝ていたので身体に汗疹が出来ている。

身体を動かしているので汗ばんだ。

寝ているあいだに無意識に掻いた汗疹は痛いし汗をかいたと

ころは痒い。

汗をたくさんかいたせいで風邪だか扁桃腺炎だか分からない

ものから治ったのだから文句は言えない。

　真向法が出来るようになるまで長い時間がかかりそうだ。

計画を立てて少しずつ筋肉を伸ばして真向法が出来るように

なりたいと思っている。

　I decided to try the Makkoo method, which I had stopped doing after my knees hurt from the COVID-19 vaccine.

My knees hurt, so I'm moving my body despite my mind and body telling me against it.

I did several types of stretching beforehand.

I thought I would put my shoulders on one side at a time, but my muscles were so stiff that I couldn't stretch my legs, back, or shoulders.

When I leaned my torso back, my muscles hurt so much that I couldn't even put my back on the bed.

I couldn't bear the pain and got up.

I did this for two hours, but my stiff muscles didn't stretch at all.

 I developed a heat rash on my body because I was sleeping in my fleece ski underwear while I was feeling chilly due to the cold.

I was sweating because I was exercising.

The heat rash that I unconsciously scratched while sleeping hurts, and the sweaty areas are itchy.

I can't complain, because sweating profusely helped me recover from what I'm not sure is a cold or tonsillitis.

 It will probably be a long time before I'm able to do the Makkoo-ho.

I'm hoping to make a plan and stretch my muscles little by little until I can do the Makkoo-ho.

　風邪で歯が浮いて痛みが出た事は前に書きました。

歯の浮きを抑えようと食後すぐに歯垢をとるため口をゆすいで歯を磨いています。

この歯垢をとるリステリンの蓋が外しづらくストッパーのような蓋の凸部をプライヤーで外に折り曲げました。　

スムースに蓋が開閉できるようになりました。

　子供の誤飲を防ぐための蓋の凸部なのでしょうか。

そうとしか思えません。

でも使いずらい事おびただしいです。

　あさの爽やかな歯磨きの時間を開けずらい蓋に邪魔をされていましたがこれで問題が解決しました。

 I've written before about how my teeth became loose and painful when I had a cold.

To prevent my teeth from becoming loose, I rinse my mouth and brush my teeth immediately after meals to remove plaque.

The lid of the Listerine bottle used to remove plaque was difficult to remove, so I used pliers to bend the stopper-like protrusion on the lid outward.

Now the lid can be opened and closed smoothly.

 I wonder if the protrusion on the lid is to prevent children from swallowing it by mistake.

That's the only thing I can think of.

But it's still very difficult to use.

 The lid was difficult to open during my refreshing morning toothbrushing time, but this has solved the problem.

朝から停電になりました。

前日バケツに水を汲み忘れたので停電中なので行水もできません。

 

病気で寒気が止まらなかったので汗をかくためにショートパンツとTシャツの上にフリ－スの上下を着たので汗疹が沢山出来ました。

その汗疹が汗に濡れて痛痒く気持ち悪いんです。

電気があれば快適な加圧式の水道と電気温水器も電気がないと使えないので無用の長物です。

前日にバケツに水の汲み置きが出来なかった自分の無明を恥じています。

 

垣根の外を港に水浴びに行く人が三々五々通ります。

ダーティーオールドマンに戻って若い娘さんのいるプールに一緒に入りたいんですが中高年の肥満体のご婦人の数が圧倒的に多いので諦めています。

そしてこんな事を考えられるまで回復できた自分に驚いています。

 

　電気がないのでカラオケでうるさい土曜の港は静かです。

水浴びをして騒いでいる子供たちのはしゃぐ黄色い声が聞こえてきます。

　この時間に停電が終わりました。

I forgot to fill a bucket with water the day before, so I can't even take a bath now that the power is out.

 I was sick and had a constant chill, so I wore a fleece top and bottom over my shorts and T-shirt to sweat, which caused a lot of heat rash.

When the heat rash becomes wet with sweat, it becomes painful, itchy, and unpleasant.

Pressurized water supply and electric hot water heaters are convenient when electricity is available, but they are useless without it.

I am ashamed of my ignorance for not filling a bucket with water the day before.

 People pass by in groups outside the fence to bathe in the harbor.

I would like to go back to the Dirty Old Man and join the young girls in the pool, but there are so many obese middle-aged women that I have given up.

I am surprised at myself for having recovered enough to be able to think about such things.

 Without electricity, the harbor is quiet on Saturdays, even though it is noisy with karaoke.

I can hear the squeals of children having fun bathing in the water.

The power outage ended at this time.

　体調不良で思考回路が上手く働かず病気関連の記事が続き申し訳なく思っています。

早く明るい記事を掲載できるようにします。

　鼻が通り生活が楽になりました。

こちらに来てからアレルギー性鼻炎の辛さを忘れていたので鼻が通るありがたさが身に沁みました。

　寝汗も量が少なくなりました。

体調が上向いたので洗濯まで気が回るようになりました。

山のような汗で濡れた洗濯物を見て溜息をつきました。

そして洗濯に億劫さを感じている自分を叱りました。

人間が出来ていないので”体調が回復して洗濯ができるようになった事をありがたい”と思えなかったんです。

　汗で濡れたマットレスが乾いたのでベッドメイクをしなおしました。

汗で濡れたベッドパッドは洗うことにして洗濯物の山にのせました。

上向いた体調を崩さないように慎重に生活しています。

 I'm sorry that my health has been poor and my thinking has not been working properly, so I have been writing a series of articles related to my illness.

I hope to post more upbeat articles soon.

 My nose is now clearer, making life easier.

Since coming here, I have forgotten how painful allergic rhinitis was, so I am truly grateful that my nose is clearer.

 I also sweat less at night.

Since my health is improving, I can even think about doing laundry.

I sighed as I looked at the mountain of sweaty laundry.

Then I scolded myself for feeling too reluctant to do laundry.

I am too immature as a person to think, "I am grateful that my health has improved and I can now do laundry."

 The sweaty mattress had dried, so I remade the bed.

I decided to wash the sweaty bed pad and put it in the pile of laundry.

I am living carefully so as not to let my improving health get worse.

雨が降って植木に水をあげてくれた。 The rain fell and helped me water the plants.

　朝起きてだるい体で庭を見ると植木鉢の土がしっとりと湿っていました。

雨が降って植木に水をあげてくれました。

いやー、ありがたい事です。

今の体の状態では重いバケツを運んで植木に水をあげるのは苦行いがいの何物でもありません。

感謝、感謝々です。

　ブログを書くのにこんなに体力を使うとは想像していませんでした。

涙目で文面を考えながらキーボードを使うのはとても疲れます。

はやくもとの身体に戻りたいと切に願っています。

　いままで経験しなかった事ですが今回の病で歯が浮いて痛んでいます。

風邪か扁桃腺炎か解りませんがこんな事も起きるんだなあと身体に語りかけました。

 I woke up feeling exhausted this morning and looked into the garden to find that the soil in the flower pots was moist.

It had rained, which helped me water the plants.

I am truly grateful.

With my current physical condition, carrying a heavy bucket to water the plants is anything but difficult.

I am so grateful.

 I never imagined writing a blog would take so much energy.

It is very tiring to use the keyboard while thinking about what to write with my teary eyes.

I sincerely hope to get my body back to normal soon.

 This is something I have never experienced before, but my teeth are loose and hurting because of this illness.

I don't know if it's a cold or tonsillitis, but I told my body that things like this happen.

風邪をひいて まいった。 I have a cold, I give up.

　きのうの朝はマンガ漁港まで散歩をしました。

夜の8時頃眠くなり横になりました。

真夜中の1時半に目を覚ますと喉と頭が痛く鼻水が流れて目は涙目でした。

寒くて々仕方がないので布団にカバーをかけて寝汗で濡れた衣類を着替えました。

鼻水が沢山出てうっとうしくて眠れません。

うとうとして目が覚めると朝の５時半でした。

　寝汗で濡れた衣類を着替えてお粥を食べました。

ベッドのマットレスは汗が浸み込んでいるので干しました。

代わりにベッドパッドをつかってベッドメイクしました。

風邪の時にこれをするのは本当に辛いんです。

　久しぶりに風邪のような症状が出て戸惑っています。

熱が上がらず咳があまり出ないことが救いです。

 Yesterday morning, I took a walk to Manga Fishing Port.

I fell asleep around 8 pm and lay down.

I woke up at 1:30am with a sore throat and head, a runny nose, and watery eyes.

It was so cold I had no choice but to cover my futon and change my clothes, which had become wet from my sleep.

My nose was running so much that it was irritating, and I couldn't sleep.

I dozed off and woke up at 5:30am.

 I changed my clothes, which had become wet from my sleep, and ate some porridge.

The bed mattress was soaked with sweat, so I hung it out to dry.

Instead, I used a bed pad to make the bed.

I have a cold, so this task is really difficult for me.

 I'm confused, as I've had cold-like symptoms for the first time in a while.

The good news is that I don't have a fever and I'm not coughing much.

　茶色と白のぶち猫さんは植木の土が入った袋が気に入ったようです。

その上で休んだり寝たりしています。

猫がいい気持ちでいるところを動かすのは可哀そうなのでプラスチックの箱にふるいバスタオルを敷き猫の寝床にしました。

猫が用意した寝床が気に入ったようなのでほっとしています。

 The brown and white tabby cat seems to like the bag with the planting soil in it.

It rests and sleeps on it.

I felt sorry to move the cat when it felt good, so I laid an old bath towel on a plastic box and made it a bed for the cat.

I am relieved that the cat seems to like the bed I prepared.
