やっと雨らしい雨が降りました。 Finally, we had some proper rain.

 

　午後３時過ぎに雷が鳴りました。

その後１時間ほど一ヶ月ぶりに雨らしい雨が降りました。

 There was thunder a little after 3 PM.
Then, for about an hour, it rained properly—the first real rain in a month.

ジャスミンライスが食べたくて探した。 I wanted to try jasmine rice, so I went looking for it.

 

　香りがよいと言われているジャスミンライスを食べてみたくて探しました。

市内にはないようです。

　珍しいこんにゃくのお米がありました。

体重を増やしたい私には無用のものです。

フィリピン産の日本米はモールの売り場に戻ってきました。

 I wanted to try jasmine rice, which is said to have a wonderful aroma, so I looked for it.

It seems there isn't any in the city.

 There was some unusual konjac rice.

It's useless to me since I'm trying to gain weight.

Japanese rice grown in the Philippines has returned to the mall's shelves.

水量が少なく水圧の強いシャワーヘッドに替えました。 I replaced my showerhead with one that has less water flow but stronger water pressure.

  4/24のブログに書いた通り給水は夜間だけになりました。

　今まで使ってきた水量が多く水圧の強いシャワーヘッドです。

シャワーを浴びるとプレッシャーポンプが２回まわります。

 This is a showerhead I've been using until now, with high water flow and strong pressure.
When I take a shower, the pressure pump runs twice.

　水量は少ないんですが水圧の強いシャワーヘッドです。

顔にあたると少し痛い水圧です。

径が少ないので水量は多くありません。

ドライシーズン向きの節水型シャワーヘッドです。

　シャワーを浴びられない辛さは前回の台風による停電で身にしみています。

日中も寝る前もシャワーを浴びてさっぱりしたいです。

給水量が減ったので使う水を節約しなくてはいけません。

 This showerhead has a low water flow but strong water pressure.
The water pressure is a little painful when it hits my face.
Because the diameter is small, the water flow is not high.
It's a water-saving showerhead suitable for the dry season.
I learned the hard way how difficult it is not to be able to shower during the last typhoon's power outage.
I want to shower and freshen up both during the day and before going to bed.
Since the water supply has decreased, I have to conserve the water I use.

雨で緑が蘇った。 The rain has revived the greenery.

 

　２６日ぶりに小雨が降った。

木々の埃が洗い流されて緑が鮮やかに蘇った。

正午の気温は２９℃です。

 It rained lightly for the first time in 26 days.
The dust was washed away from the trees, and the greenery has been vividly restored.
The temperature at noon is 29℃.

追熟３日。 I let this ripen for three days.

 

　パパイヤの追熟がうまくゆきました。

ポメロとパパイヤを朝昼晩食べています。

果物の酸によって歯が溶ける「酸蝕歯（さんしょくし）」には気をつけています

果物のエンゲル係数は高いですよ。

 The papaya ripened successfully.
I eat pomelo and papaya three times a day.
I'm careful about "dental erosion," where the acid in fruit dissolves teeth.
My Engel coefficient for fruit is high.

こんなに小さな機器なのに・・・ Even though it's such a small device...

 

　PCとスピーカーの間にDAC（デジタルの信号を人間の耳で聞ける波形に変更するもの）を入れて音楽を聴いています。

  I listen to music by connecting a DAC (which converts digital signals into analog waveforms the human ear can hear) between my PC and my speakers.

 　CDは１６ビット４４１００hrzです。

２４ビット８８２００hrzで聴いています。

曲はWAVで保管しています。

人間の可聴域をこえている音は聞こえません。

気の所為でしょうか音が滑らかになったような気がします。

 The CD is 16-bit 44100Hz.
I'm listening at 24-bit 88200Hz.
The music is stored in WAV format.
Of course, I can't hear sounds beyond the range of human hearing.
I wonder if it's just my imagination, but the sound seems smoother.
