醤油味にしたり塩味にしたり炒める油も変えて調理しています。

炒めた空心菜にカラマンシーを絞りまわしかけると味に深みが出ます。

　新しい丼物のメニューができました。

ご飯にすりゴマを沢山かけてその上に薄い細切りの大根を散らします。

塩コショウ味の肉を隙間なく並べ炒めた空心菜をその上にのせます。

仕上げに熱い油に醤油を入れてそのソースを上からかけます。

I start by sprinkling plenty of ground sesame seeds over the rice and scattering thin strips of daikon radish on top.
Next, I arrange slices of meat seasoned with salt and pepper so they cover the surface completely, then pile the stir-fried water spinach on top.
To finish, I heat some oil, mix in soy sauce, and pour the resulting sauce over the dish.
Drizzling calamansi juice over the rice gives it a flavor similar to vinegared rice, making it even more appetizing.

 It seems that for these tropical trees, growing fruit on the trunk makes it easier for large animals to spot and eat them.
The fruit is large and heavy; if it grew on the branches, the weight would likely cause them to snap.
Apparently, this placement also helps small insects like ants and mosquitoes pollinate it.

鍋に水を入れて沸騰したら湯を捨てます。

 I received a *tawashi* (traditional stiff-bristle scrubbing brush) in an international parcel the other day.
I use it to wash my iron woks and frying pans.
Compared to a bamboo work brush (*sasara*), the *tawashi* is easier to use for cleaning and simpler to store.

 I scrub the iron wok or frying pan vigorously with the *tawashi* to remove any dirt or residue.
Then I fill the pan with water, bring it to a boil, and pour out the hot water.
I let the pan dry using its residual heat.
Once dry, I put it back on the shelf.
