荷物の仕分け。Sorting luggage.

  荷物がだいぶ溜まってきました。

そろそろ仕分けをしてラッゲージにつめる準備をしなければいけません。

 My luggage has piled up quite a bit.

It's time to start sorting it and getting ready to pack it into my travel bag.

墓参り。 I went to visit my mother's grave.

 

 母の墓参りに行ってきました。

日陰は涼しく心地よい風が吹いていました。

日向は暑くくらくらしました。

  コロナで出国禁止時に日本の免許証が失効しました。

今回はフィリピンでとった国際免許証で運転しました。

フィリピンの右側通行になれているので日本の左側通行に緊張しました。

車の進化に驚いています。

私は過去から来たタイムトラベラーになりました。

 My Japanese driver's license expired when travel was banned due to COVID-19.

This time I drove with an international driver's license I got in the Philippines.

I'm used to driving on the right side of the road in the Philippines, so I was nervous about driving on the left side of the road in Japan.

I'm amazed at how cars have evolved.

I have become a time traveller from the past.

  ティールームの座り心地の良い椅子に座って本を読むのが日課になりました。

  再読も含めて５冊読みました。

無理筋な本もありましたが面白かったです。

眼鏡の度数があわなくなりました。

生活用と読書用の老眼鏡を作りました。

I read five books, including rereads.

Some of the books had far-fetched stories, but they were interesting.

My glasses prescription no longer fits me.

I got new reading glasses.

One for reading and one for everyday use.

桃。 Peaches.

 桃の果汁が豊かすぎるので流し台の上でかぶりつきました。

豊かな果汁は肘から雫になって流し台に落ちました。

南国の果物にはない爽やかな味です。

橋本治さんの小説 桃尻娘 を思い出しました。

 The peach juice was so rich that I took a bite right there over the sink.

The rich juice dripped off my elbow and into the sink.

It had a refreshing, rich flavor that haven't  many tropical fruits.

It reminded me of Osamu Hashimoto's novel Peach Butt Girl.
