日本の夏のように３１℃をこえることはありません。

フィリピンは島嶼国なので島は風とおしがよく日陰は涼しいですよ。

　台所の窓から見える木はカラマンシーの木でした。

木には実が沢山なっています。

こう暑いとカラマンシーを入れたジントニックを飲みたくなります。

　夏のゴルフのスラックス・麻のジーンズ・コットンパンツ計７本のウエストをつめてもらった。

スラックスの腰回りがフィットすると気持ちがいいですね。

ちなみに私のウエストは３１インチです。

　ジッパーに不具合が起きたので交換してもらった。

交換することもなかったがスムースに開閉できるようになった。

物に・人にあわせるのはいやだ。

少しづつタガが外れてわがままになってきた。

 I had the waists of seven pairs of pants - summer golf slacks, linen jeans, and cotton pants - shortened at a dressmaker.

It feels great when slacks fit around the waist.

My waist is 31 inches, by the way.

 There was something wrong with the zipper so I had it replaced.

It didn't need to be replaced, but now it opens and closes smoothly.

I don't like to have to adjust to things or people.

I'm slowly becoming more and more selfish and uninhibited.

I'm just so grateful to everyone at the dressmaker.

すっきりした・庭が明るくなった。 It's neat and tidy, and the garden is now brighter.

　家主に言われて職人が港へ行く通路の木の枝を切りました。

庭が明るくなりました。

本当はこの木から庭に入られるのを嫌ったようです。

午後５時の気温は２９℃です。

 At the homeowner's request, a craftsman cut down the branches of a tree in the path to the harbor.

The garden is now brighter.

The homeowner actually didn't want people to enter the garden through the tree.

The temperature at 5pm is 29°C.

TVの修理。 My TV repair.

　TVが大きくて運べないのでタグビラランのソニーから出張してもらった。

基盤をテスターでチェックして不良個所を探し出して不良部品を交換してもらった。

 The TV was too big to transport, so I had a technician from Sony in Tagbilaran come over.

He checked the circuit board with a tester, found the defective parts, and replaced them.

　これだけの部品が落雷による地絡でやられていた。

規格より大きな電流が流れると部品が壊れて過電流を防ぎ主要部を守る。

新しい部品に交換してもらった。

TVを見るとき以外はTVのコンセントを抜かないとこの被害にあう。

※地絡

　落雷により大地が電気的に接続され、電流が大地に流れる現象。

コンセントから電気が機器内に逆流して機器の損傷を起こす。

 All of these parts had been damaged by a ground fault caused by a lightning strike.

When a current greater than the standard flows, the parts break down to prevent overcurrent and protect the main components.

They replaced them with new parts.

This can happen if you don't unplug your TV except 

when watching TV.

A phenomenon in which a lightning strike electrically connects 

the earth, 

causing an electric current to flow to the earth.

Electricity flows from the outlet into the device, causing damage 

to the device.

My TV is now back to life.
