揚げ玉。 Fried tempura bits.

　天ぷらを揚げて衣が余ったので麺類に使う揚げ玉を作りました。

サクッとしてとてもいいっ感じです。

こちらで買っている素麺とうどんの味が大きく変わりました。

ううむ　これはいい　なぜ今まで作らなかったのか　と自分を責めています。

底に揚げ玉の油をきる網のある容器があれば揚げ玉の作り置きが出来るので探しています。

 I had some leftover batter from frying the tempura, so I used it to make these bits, which I then used on noodles.

They were crispy and tasted good.

The somen and udon noodles, but the taste has changed dramatically.

This is good; I'm kicking myself for not doing it before.

I'm looking for a container with a strainer at the bottom to drain the oil from the fried tempura bits so I can make a batch of them in advance.

雨が降り出したので午後１時の気温は２７℃です。

海辺まで直線距離で20ｍです。

ここは木が茂っているので涼しいです。

マーフィーの法則。 Murphy's Law.

 

　※マーフィーの法則の起源:

マーフィーの法則は、アメリカの航空工学者エドワード・アロイシャス・マーフィー・ジュニアの研究をきっかけに生まれたとされています。彼の研究室で起きた出来事や、同僚たちの経験談が、ユーモラスな形で広まったのが始まりです。

　体重が減ってから２年半増えないのでウエットスーツを新調しました。

スラックスがずり落ちるので73ｃｍのスラックスを４本新調しました。

　その３か月後に基礎体温が上がり体重が５ｋｇ増えました。

ウエットスーツはあたかく快適ですが着脱が大変になりました。

ウエットスーツの中に水が入ってこないので首の部分を緩めて海水を中に入れています。

　スラックスのウエストがきつくなりました。

穿けないことは事はありませんが穿くとウエストにスラックスの跡が付きます。

　寝るときに夏掛け布団を使う必要がなくなりました。

シーツ１枚あれば十分です。

夏掛け布団を干す台を作りましたが不要になりました。

　基礎体温が上がったのは大変ありがたい事です。

汗を前よりかくようになり洗濯物が増えました。

　あと５kg増えれば前の体重６５kgにもどります。

６５ｋｇの時に着ていた上下セパレートのウエットスーツが２つあります。

着られるようになるかもしれません。

こんな事を言っているとマーフィーの法則で体重が減るかもしれません。

高望みは禁物です。

   Origin of Murphy's Law:

 It is said that Murphy's Law originated from the research of American aeronautical engineer Edward Aloysius Murphy, Jr. The saying began with humorous accounts of events that occurred in his laboratory and the experiences of his colleagues.

 I lost weight but couldn't gain it back for two and a half years.

So I had a new wetsuit made.

My trousers kept slipping down, so I bought four new pairs of 73 cm trousers.

 Three months later, my basal body temperature increased, and I gained 5 kg.

The wetsuit is warm and comfortable, but it becomes difficult to put on and take off.

Since water doesn't get into my wetsuit, I loosen the neck and let seawater in.

The waist of my trousers has become tight.

I can still wear them, but they leave a mark on my waist when I do.

I no longer need a summer duvet when I sleep.

One sheet is enough.

I made a drying rack for my summer duvet, but I no longer need it.

I'm grateful that my basal body temperature has risen.

I'm sweating more than before, so I have more laundry to do.

If I gain another 5 kg, I'll be back to my previous weight of 65 kg.

I still have two wetsuits that I wore when I weighed 65 kg.

I can wear them again.

If I keep thinking like this, Murphy's Law might cause me to lose weight!

Don't get my hopes up.

Please god, don't let it happen again.

熱帯性低気圧。 A tropical depression.

　熱帯性低気圧が２７日にフィリッピン沿岸で発生する模様です。

２８日に熱帯性低気圧はフィリッピン島嶼に接近するようです。

２８日はダイビングをする予定です。

その時に雨が降ったら特注のボートコートを使えばいいと割り切っています。

何もかも上手くゆきすぎるのは考え物です。

そんな謙虚な気持ちで暮らしています。

　フィリッピンの５０ペソの紙幣に山猫がのっています。

調べてみるとパラワン山猫でした。

フィリピンのパラワン島とネグロス島の固有種のようです。

 A wildcat is featured on the 50-peso banknote of the Philippines.

I looked it up and discovered that it is a Palawan wildcat.

It appears to be endemic to the Philippine islands of Palawan and Negros

観光地ではない場所にあるホテル。 It's a hotel in a non-touristy area.

　私の住んでいる近所にはさして見るべきものがありません。

海辺ですが砂浜がなく岸辺は木が茂っています。

　私の住んでいる近くにホテルがあります。

客の出入りを散歩の途中に見た事がありません。

そのホテルの名前が変わりました。

新しい名前はCamp Pihakです。

観光地ではない静かな漁村にあるホテルです。

There's nothing particularly worth seeing in my neighbourhood.

It's by the sea, but there's no sandy beach, and the shoreline is covered in trees.

 There's a hotel near where I live.

I've never seen any guests coming or going when I've been walking past.

The hotel has a new name.

The new name is Camp Pihak.

It is located in a quiet fishing village outside the tourist area.
