　かき揚げに挑み続けています。

普通の天ぷらはまあまあうまく揚がるんですがこれはうまくゆきません。

今回はエビとイカと茸も入れました。

うーん、かき揚げは難しいですね。

I can fry regular tempura fairly well, but this just doesn't work.

This time I added shrimp, squid, and mushrooms.

Hmm, kakiage is difficult.

大きい植木鉢に植え替えをしないと倒れてしまいます。

嬉しい悲鳴です。

It will fall over if I don't repot it in a larger pot.

It's a cry of joy.

せっかく用意したのに・・・ I went to the trouble of preparing everything, but...

　昨夜すさまじい雨が降り雷鳴がとどろき稲妻が窓を白くしました。

”停電になるな”と思いろうそくやライターを用意しましたが停電は起こりませんでした。

停電が無かったことは喜びました。

ろうそくやライターを用意したのに使えなかったのは少し残念でした。

複雑な気持ちでした。

 Last night, there was heavy rain, thunder roared, and lightning flashed white on the windows.
I prepared candles and lighters in case there was a power outage, but there was no power outage.
I was happy that there was no power outage.
I was a little disappointed that I couldn't use the candles and lighters I had prepared.
I had mixed emotions.

やけに泡が立つな。It foams up a lot.

　天ぷらを揚げました。

新しい油なのに白い細かい泡が一面に立ちました。

”薄力粉のせいなのかな”と思いましたがどうやらそうではなさそうです。

ガスを切って今日買ったばかりの油を見るとココナツオイルでした。

キャノーラ油もココナツオイルも頭文字がCなので間違って買ってしまいました。

ココナツオイルを４袋買いました。

どうしたらココナツオイルを使い切る事が出来るのかが台所の課題です。

 I fried some tempura.
Even though the oil was new, fine white bubbles formed all over the oil.
I thought, "Maybe it's because of the cake flour," but it seems that's not the case.
I turned off the gas and looked at the oil I'd just bought today, and it was coconut oil.
I made a mistake and bought the wrong oil because both canola oil and coconut oil start with the letter C.
I bought four bags of coconut oil.
My kitchen challenge is figuring out how to use up all the coconut oil.

この台風は嫌だな。I don't like this typhoon.

　10/06に発生する台風は嫌な予感がする。

地震の被害を受けた場所を通過しませんように・・・

 I have a bad feeling about the typhoon that will form on 10/06.
I hope it doesn't pass through areas affected by the earthquake...

新しいお店。A new store opened.

　道路を挟んだ住まいの向かいに新しい店ができました。

その店が出来上がる前は酒を飲ませるカラオケの店だったらうるさくていやだな。

せっかく静かな処に越してきた意味がなくなってしまうな。

等々心配しました。

　出来上がったお店はサリサリストアだったので安心しました。

近くに同じタイプの店が３軒あります。

３軒とも住まいと店がつながっています。

この店は通いです。

大丈夫かな・・・

 A new store opened across the street from where I live.
Before the store was completed, I was worried that it would be a noisy karaoke bar that served alcohol.
It would defeat the purpose of moving to a quiet area.
I was relieved to find that the new store was a sari-sari store.
There are three similar stores nearby.
All three are connected to their home.
This store owner commutes to this store.
I'm curious if it's okay...
