暑い処に住んでいます 涼しげな食器を使おうと思い立った I live in a hot place, so I decided to use cool-looking tableware.

　暑いところにいるんだから涼しげなガラスの食器を使おうと思ってダイソウに買いに行きました。

ダイソウの価格は決して安くありません。

日本で２００円で売っている物には２００ペソの価格を付けています。

日本円が下落しているので２００ペソは５３０円くらいになります。

安いものはモールに行けばたくさん売っています。

　こちらで売っている水のメジャー・量水カップには凹凸のメモリが付いています。

目のいいこの国の人には問題ありませんが老眼の私は見にくくて々仕方ありません。

仕方がないので赤と黒の油性ペンで凹凸のメモリを塗り分けて使っています。

　老眼の私でもわかる見やすいメジャーカップがダイソーにありました。

予備を入れて二つ買いました。

軽くて使いやすいですね。

今年の買い物のナンバーワンです。

I found an easy-to-read measuring cup at Daiso that even my old eyes can understand.

I bought two with a spare.

They are light and easy to use.

They are my number one purchase this year.

裾上げに三日もかかった It took three days to hem it.

　ジーンズの裾上げがやっと終わりました。

ジーンズを買った日に裾上げに行きましたが午後の一時半にならないと担当者が戻らないといわれました。

２時間は待てないので止めました。

月曜に行くと担当者は今日は休みだといわれました。

３回目の今日裾上げが終わりました。

　こちらでは日本の裾上げのように裾をピンで留めません。

はいているスラックスをメジャーで計って裾上げする場所を決めます。

ところ変われば品変わるのサンプルですね。

I finished hemming for the third time today.

　カーテンに白い光が差し始めるころ鶏よりも先になく鳥がいます。

パーラポーンポーンと明るい声でしばらく鳴き続けます。

知らない鳥が鳴き続けている間に鶏がお義理のように鳴きます。

こちらの鶏は昼間の変な時間や夜に鳴くので朝告げ鳥（ときつげどり）ではありません。

パーラポーンポーンと明るい声で鳴く鳥の姿を見たいんですが見たことがありません。

羽根の色も姿かたちも不明です。

　小夜なき鳥のナイチンゲールはとてもきれいな声で鳴くそうです。

鳴き声を聞きたいんですがここに住んでいないのが残念です。

西洋鶯の別名があるので寒冷な気候を好むのでしょうね。

　モールに買い物に行ってお腹がすきました。

メニューの写真を指でさしてこれはミートパイですかと聞きました。

お腹にやさしいミートパイを頼みました。

頼み方が悪かったのでしょう、ホットチーズハンバーグサンドが来ました。

ホットチーズハンバーグサンドを少しづつよく噛んで一切れを食べ終えました。

残りの一切れとフレンチフライに未練が残りましたが終わりにしました。

久しぶりに脂っけのあるものを食べました。
