私のEMSの荷物。My EMS package.

　私のEMSの荷物はマニラからきのう発送されました。

この後セブにまわってそこで発送地域の仕訳があります。

このあとどういう訳か船便になるんですよねえ。

マニラから発送されただけでも大きな進展です。

 My EMS package was sent from Manila yesterday.
It will then go to Cebu, where the shipping region will be sorted.
For some reason, it will then be sent by sea.
Just the fact that it was sent from Manila is a big step forward.

布団カバー。 Comforter covers.

 

　コロナワクチンの副作用に苦しんでいた時期がありました。

寒気がして寝汗が酷いので寝具の洗濯が追いつきませんでした。

その時に布団カバーを４枚作りました。

使わないと勿体ないのでタオルケットの代わりに使っています。

タオルケットよりも乾きは速いです。

クイーンサイズなのでゆったりしています。

I had chills and sweated a lot at night, so I couldn't keep up with washing my bedding.

At that time, I made four comforter covers.

It would be a waste not to use them, so I use them instead of towel blankets.

They dry faster than towel blankets.

They're queen-size, so they're very spacious.

めんどくさいなあ。It's such a hassle.

　先日ドコモのSIMカードを取り出した時にこじ開けたSIMカードの出し入れ口を修理に出しました。

スマホを指さして　ここを修理してください　と頼むと相手はピンを使って開け閉めして　壊れていないわよ　と言いました。

あんた、ピン持っていないの　と言われて頭の中で　ピンはあるけど開かないんだ　と作文していると　いいわ、このピンあげるわ　こう使うのよ　わかった　と言われたので頷きました。

　家に帰って机の上で　スマホにSIMを入れて　機内モードにして　WIFIとブルートゥースをOFFにして　SIMカードを無効にして　スマホのスイッチを切りました。

　SIMとスマホの機能がすべてOFFになっているので通話料金・通信料は発生しようがありません。

再度高額請求がドコモからあった時には解約しか道は残されていません。

日本の友人・知人はメールで連絡をしてくるので　日本の電話番号は不要かな　と思っています。

 The other day, I took my Docomo SIM card slot, which I pried open when removing it, to be repaired.
I pointed at my smartphone and asked them to repair it, but the person used a pin to open and close it and said it wasn't broken.
She asked me if I didn't have a pin, and I was composing in my head that I had a pin, but it wouldn't open, when she said, "Okay, I'll give you this pin. 

Here's how you use it.

 When I got home, I put the SIM card into my smartphone on my desk, switched it to airplane mode, turned off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, disabled the SIM card, and turned off the smartphone. Since the SIM and all smartphone functions are turned off, there's no way any call or data charges will be incurred.
If Docomo charges me another large fee, my only option will be to cancel my contract.
My friends and acquaintances in Japan contact me by email, so I don't need a Japanese phone number.

　いつも日本からこの国への荷物の配送は親切な転送コムさんにお願いしています。

フィリピンのクリスマス時の荷物と税関の遅れを忘れていました。

　前にディンギー（小型のヨット）を日本から１１月半ばに発送して手元に着いたのは翌年の３月半ばでした。

日本からこの国へは３、４日で到着しましたがそれからマニラの税関で缶詰状態になりました。

　今度の荷物はいつ手元に届くでしょうか？

早くて１月半ばでしょう。

普通に処理されれば２月半ばでしょう。

遅ければ３月になるかもしれません。

どうすりゃいいのよ思案橋です。

 I always use the friendly tenso.com service to deliver packages from Japan to this country.
I had forgotten about packages and customs delays during Christmas in the Philippines.

 I previously shipped a dinghy (small yacht) from Japan in mid-November, and it arrived in mid-March of the following year.
It arrived in this country from Japan in three or four days, but then it got stuck in customs in Manila.

 When will my next package arrive?
At the earliest, it will be mid-January.
If it's processed normally, it should be mid-February.
At the latest, it could be March.
I'm thinking about what to do, but I can't do anything.

歯の治療も終わりに近づいています。 My dental treatment is also coming to an end.

　歯医者さんにゆくとクリスマスの飾り付けをしていました。

３人がかりで丁寧に場所や高さを調べながらの作業です。

　右下の歯の古いブリッジを外して新しい義歯を入れる準備をしました。

３０分ぐらい歯を削りました。

歯型をとり仮の義歯を入れました。

まだ麻酔が効いているので口の中と唇が変な感じです。

６日後に義歯を入れる時間を予約しました。

この歯がはいると歯の治療は終わりです。

　タグビララン市内に良い歯医者さんが居て助かりました。

セブ市の日本の会社の嘱託の歯医者はお粗末でした。

１週間で歯に被せたものが外れてしまいました。

　日本で親子二世代にわたって世話になった歯医者も最後は予約した月に抜歯に日本にゆくと心臓は大丈夫か、歯茎が傷んでいるので抜歯できないと言い出す体たらくでした。

何年もかかっていいた歯の治療も良い歯科医に巡り会えたので終わりに近づいています。

 When I went to the dentist, they were putting up Christmas decorations. 

Three people were working, carefully checking the location and height.

  I removed the old bridge on my lower right tooth and prepared for a new denture. 

It took about 30 minutes to drill my tooth. 

An impression of my teeth was taken, and a temporary denture was fitted. 

The anesthesia is still in effect, so the inside of my mouth and lips feels strange.

 I made an appointment for six days later to have the denture fitted. 

Once this tooth is in place, my dental treatment will be complete. 

 I was relieved to find a good dentist in Tagbilaran City. 

The dentist in Cebu City who was contracted by a Japanese company was terrible. 

The crown on my tooth fell off within a week.

 I had been going to a dentist in Japan for a long time.

I went to Japan on the day of my scheduled tooth extraction.
The dentist asked me if my heart was okay.
He then said that he couldn't extract the tooth because my gums were damaged.
The dental treatment that had been ineffective for years is finally coming to an end, as I have found a good dentist.
