　果物売り場にマンゴスチンが並んでいました。

もちろん買いました。

　この地で採れないオレンジやリンゴは大きく陳列されていました。

この地の恵みの新鮮な果物を食べようよと思いました。

地産地消でいきましょうよ。

　マンゴスチンはかたい殻に覆われています。

ヘタを指で押すと簡単に割れ目が入ります。

殻の赤い色素は白い衣類につくと染みになって落ちません。

　マンゴスチンの白いみを口に頬張ると清冽な甘さが口に広がりました。

種についた半透明のみを歯でこそげとりながら地産地消だよねと思いました。

 There were mangosteens lined up in the fruit section.
Of course, I bought some.

 Oranges and apples that aren't grown locally were prominently displayed.
I thought, "Let's eat the fresh fruit that's a bounty of this land."

 Mangosteens are covered in a hard shell.
The hard shell can be easily cracked by pressing the stem with your finger.
The red pigment in the shell will stain white clothing and is difficult to remove.

 When I popped the white flesh of the mangosteen into my mouth, a refreshing sweetness spread throughout my mouth.
I scraped off the translucent flesh attached to the seed with my teeth.
And I thought, "This is Local food production and consumption."
