雨が降るとインターネットの速度が極端に落ちる。When it rains, the internet speed drops drastically.

 

PCでインターネットの操作が出来ないのでアンドロイドのタブレットを使っています。

今日の送信はこれで打ち切ります。

コーヒー豆。 The coffee beans.

　いつも行くカフェのTUKOでコーヒー豆をわけてもらいました。

アラビカ種のコーヒー豆のようです。

　コーヒーミルで豆を細かく挽くと苦みが強くなります。

ペーパードリップ用の普通の粗さで挽いています。

　日本から買ってくるキリマンジャロと違いこの豆には酸味がありません。

でもスーパーで売っている欧米のブレンドしたコーヒー豆よりはこちらの豆のほうがおいしいと思います。

あちらの豆はローストが強すぎるのでアイスコーヒーやミルクをたっぷり使うカフェオレやカフェラテに向いているようです。

　寄る年波には勝てません。

前のように空腹でコーヒーを飲むとお腹にこたえます。

最近は乳糖不耐のミルクも使うようになりました。

お腹をこわすと大変です。

お腹には少しでも楽をしてもらわないといけないと思って労わっています。

　今迄は身体は動かすもの、無理をしても使うものと思ってきました。

誕生日を迎えて自分自身の身体を労わろうという気持ちが湧いてきました。

これは優しい感情の芽生えでしょうか。

それとも単に老化に対する対応でしょうか。

 I bought some coffee beans from TUKO, the café I always visit. They are Arabica beans.

When I grind the beans finely in a coffee mill, they become very bitter. 

I grind them to a medium coarseness for paper drip coffee.

The Kilimanjaro beans I bought from Japan have an acidic taste. 

These beans have no acidity, but I think they’re tastier than the Western blended coffee beans sold at supermarkets. 

The beans from there are roasted too darkly, making them better suited for iced coffee, café au lait, or café latte, which use a lot of milk.

I can't beat the effects of aging. 

If I drink coffee on an empty stomach like I used to, it hurts my stomach. 

I've recently started using lactose-free milk. 

It's awful when I get an upset stomach, so I try to take care of it, knowing I need to make it as easy as possible.

Until now, I viewed the body as something to move and use, even when it felt too hard.

 As my birthday approaches, I've begun to feel the need to take better care of my body. 

Is this the birth of a kinder emotion? 

Or is it simply a response to aging?

硼酸。Boric Acid.

　硼酸を取り寄せてもらったので取りに行ってきました。

もちろん丁寧にお礼を言いました。

　硼酸は容器に500ｇ入っています。

これだけあれば２，３年は蟻退治が出来ます。

　蟻は体内で硼酸を分解できないので食べると死にます。

白砂糖と硼酸を爪楊枝でよく混ぜて３か所に置きました。

蟻が硼酸入りの砂糖を巣に運んでくれると女王蟻はそれを液化して蟻に与えます。

その場合は巣ごと蟻は絶滅します。

硼酸の遅効性の毒性を利用した上手な蟻の駆除法です。

　稀に硼酸入りの砂糖を嫌う蟻の種類があります。

その時は重曹に砂糖を混ぜたものを使います。

重曹が蟻の体内の蟻酸と反応して蟻は死ぬことになります。

　大きな蟻を駆除すると次に小さな蟻が現れます。

小さな蟻は台所の近くに巣を作るので誠に厄介な存在です。

彼らはどこにでも巣を作るので本当に厄介です。

 She ordered some boric acid for me, so I went to pick it up.

Of course, I thanked her politely.

 The container holds 500g of boric acid.

This is enough to get rid of ants for two or three years.

 Ants cannot decompose boric acid in their bodies, so if they eat it, they will die.

I mixed white sugar and boric acid with a toothpick and placed it in three places.

If the ants carry the sugar with boric acid to the nest, the queen will liquefy it and feed it to the ants.

In this case, the entire nest and the ants are exterminated.

This is a good ant control method using the slow-acting toxicity of boric acid.

 When I get rid of the big ants, the little ants appear next.

The small ants are a real nuisance because they nest near the kitchen.

バイクのヘルメット。Motorcycle helmet.

　バイクに乗って走っていたらヘルメットの左側のフェイスカバーの留め金が落ちました。

経年劣化によるものでしょうか。

ヘルメット自体の強度が落ちているのでしょうか。

　スペアの赤いヘルメットの蜘蛛の巣をはらい内側をアルコール消毒しました。

ヘェイスカバーよく洗って乾かしています。

明日からは赤いヘルメットをかぶります。

 While riding my motorcycle, the clasp on the left side of my helmet's face cover fell off.

Could it be due to aging?

Has the strength of the helmet itself decreased?

 I cleaned the cobwebs from my spare red helmet and disinfected the inside with alcohol.

I have washed the face cover thoroughly and allowed it to dry.

I will wear the red helmet starting tomorrow.
