　今度の旅行はいつもと違い違和感があった。

航空会社を変えたせいなのかもしれない　とおもって無理やり納得した。

I forced myself to accept that it might be because I had changed airlines.

　両替商との付き合いも１７年になる。

純真だった男も世事に長けてきた。

当初に取り決めた金額も守らなくなってきた。

時間もルーズになり今回は４５分遅れた。

そして送信文書に条件を入れるようになった。

付き合いが長くなると澱がたまる。

彼との付き合いを辞めることにした。

　セブパシフィック航空のチェックインカウンターに行って初めて違和感の正体に気付いた。

１０日の午前１時の航空券を買っているのに１０日の午後６時にチェックインカウンターでチェックインしようとしている。

本来は前日の夕方にチェックインするべきだった。

前日の航空券は無効になっているので当日売の航空券を買った、いい値段だった。

２列目のC席は足元にたっぷり余裕があった。

セブパシフィック航空は時間通りに運行した。

機内が寒くて参った。

I had bought a ticket for 1AM on the 10th, but I was trying to check in at the counter at 6PM on the 10th.

I should have actually checked in the evening of the previous day.

The ticket for the previous day was invalid, so I bought a ticket for the day, which was expensive.

There was plenty of legroom in seat C in the second row.

Cebu Pacific Air was on time.

The air conditioning on the plane was cold, which made me tired.

部屋掃除スタート。 I started cleaning the room.

　冷蔵庫のパッキンの接合部を丁寧に拭き掃除をしました。

密閉度が上がったようです。

冷蔵庫の外側の温度が下がりモーター音も静かになりました。

　床の隅や柱の周りにこびりついた汚れはアルカリ洗剤をつけてブラシでこすりました。

あと二回洗えばこびりついた汚れも無くなります。

 To remove the dirt that had stuck to the corners of the floor and around the pillars, I applied an alkaline detergent and scrubbed it with a brush.

If I wash it two more times, the stuck-on dirt will be gone.

麦茶。barley tea.

 あせをかいた時に冷たい麦茶を飲むと仄かなな苦味が口に広がります。

麦を煎った香りが鼻に抜けて行きます。

私は今まで麦茶になにも混ぜずにこのさっぱりした味の飲み方を受け継いで来たことに驚いています。

よその国であれば麦茶のベースに砂糖をいれたりミルクを入れたりタピオカを入れたりして賑やかな飲み物になったことでしょう。

それはそれでおいしい飲み物だとおもいます。

日本は常夏の国ではなく暑い夏がみじかい国であることが影響はしているのかもしれません。

白玉を浸す液に砂糖を溶かした麦茶を使ったりしません。

この麦茶文化は本当にすごいなと思っています。

コーヒーや紅茶に砂糖をいれずに砂糖を入れずに飲む人が多い事は麦茶文化と関係しているのでしょうか。

 A slight bitterness spreads in your mouth if you drink cold barley tea when you're sweating.

The aroma of roasted barley wafts through your nose.

I'm amazed that the Japanese have inherited this refreshing way of drinking barley tea without adding anything.

In other countries, they would add sugar, milk, or tapioca to the barley tea base to make it a more lively drink.

I think that's a delicious drink in its own right.

Japan is not a country with perpetual summer, and this may be an influence, as the hot summer is short in Japan.

They don't use barley tea with sugar dissolved in it to soak the shiratama dumplings.

I think this barley tea culture is truly amazing.

Is the fact that many Japanese people drink coffee or tea without sugar related to the barley tea culture?

インターネット回線の配線とWIFIルーターを変えました。I changed the internet wiring and WIFI router.

　この電柱でインターネットのケーブルを折り返して軒下を通し室内に線を引き入れていました。

お二階さんは私が契約しているケーブルに接続してルーターを取り付けていました。

これがインターネットの速度が落ちた大きな原因です。

盗電が行われる国なの電波法違反の意識はありません。

あるものは利用させてもらおうという考えが優先しています。

 The internet cable was folded around this utility pole and passed under the eaves before being pulled into the room.

Mr. Second Floor connected to that cable and installed a router.

That cable is the one I have a contract with.

This is the main reason why my internet speed has slowed down.

Since we live in a country where electricity theft occurs, there is no awareness of violating the Radio Law.

The priority is the idea that we should be able to use whatever is available.

　インターネット回線の接続のトラブルを避けるために電柱を介さずインターネット回線を建物に引き込みました。

電柱のインターネット回線は全てカットしました。

 To avoid problems with connecting the internet line, we pulled the internet line into the building without using a utility pole.

We cut all internet lines on the utility poles.

　WIFIのルーターを新しいものに変えてもらいました。

PCやスマートフォンの接続変更を行いました。

20Mbpsの速度があればさほどストレスを感じることがなくPCを操作できます。

これで航空券のオンラインチェックインや出入国のWEB登録が出来ます。

インターネットプロバイダーと契約している500Mbpsには程遠い速度です。

そのギャップは旅行から帰って来てから改めてインターネットプロバイダーに相談します。

 I had the WIFI router replaced with a new one.

I changed the connections for my PC and smartphone.

With a speed of 20Mbps, I can operate my PC without too much stress.

With this, I can check in online for my flight and register online for immigration.

This is a far cry from the 500Mbps I have a contract with my internet provider for.

I will talk to my internet provider about the difference after I return from my trip.

　今迄のインターネットの速度と比較すると１２０倍速くなりました。

約束の時間より３０分も早く住まいに来て作業をしてくれた技術者には相当額のお礼をしました。

技術者を手配してくれたPLDTのクレーム担当の目の大きい彼女にはコロンを買って贈ります。

 It's 120 times faster than my previous internet speed.

I generously thanked the technician who arrived at my house 30 minutes earlier than the scheduled time to do the work.

I'm going to buy some cologne for the big-eyed girlfriend in charge of complaints at PLDT who arranged for the technician to arrive.

　漬物・ひじきと大豆の煮つけを汗をかきながらお粥と一緒に食べると笑みがこぼれます。

身体にしみついたお米の味は忘れられません。

 Eating the porridge with pickles and stewed hijiki seaweed and soybeans while sweating brings a smile to my face.
