Stray kittens are just adorable, aren't they?

Two stray kittens are playing in the garden.
They’re so cute.
They really warm the heart.

They’re quite wary, so I can’t get very close.
I took this photo using the zoom on my smartphone camera.
Oh well—it’s the best I could do.

It rained a lot last night.

It rained a lot last night.
Because of that, the green of the trees is refreshed.
The temperature at 10:00 a.m. is 28°C.
The song is "Unforgettable" by The Lettermen.

There was a power outage.

 There was a power outage.

Inside the tent, it was a bit brighter when I lit a candle than it is here.
(I used a collapsible lantern with mica panes.)
The candlelight must have reflected off the tent’s inner lining.
When I woke up in the morning, the frost on the lining would glisten—it was so beautiful.
The tent was frozen stiff.
(Around 1965, I used a Vinylon tent.)

The lights came on, and the sounds of daily life returned.
Everything became bright and clearly visible once more, pulling me back into the real world.
The memories vanished.

A warm sea breeze is blowing into the room through the window.

A warm sea breeze is blowing into the room through the window.

The song is "DON'T IT MAKE MY  BROWN EYES BLUE."

We've had frequent water outages lately.

We've had frequent water outages lately.
I've been using drinking water to wash the dishes.

I try to imagine that I'm out in the mountains.
Even with the water cut off, I don't have to go all the way to a water source to fetch some—thinking of it that way makes things feel a bit easier.
During these outages, because of the dishwashing situation, I tend to make a lot of "one-bowl" meals—things like *donburi* (rice bowls) or dishes served over rice.

The city water department's website doesn't mention a water outage.
I believe they should provide advance notice of water or power outages.
What do you all think?
I have gradually become accustomed to the local customs here.
Unless I let go of the feeling I brought from Japan, I will end up constantly dissatisfied and unable to get by.

I’ve maintained this habit for about 40 years.

I store sensitive information—such as passwords, bank account details, and card-related data—on an external hard drive.
I’ve maintained this habit for about 40 years.
I keep everything I need on that external drive.

Back when I was still working, the hard drive started making an unusual noise.
I assumed it was a temporary issue, but the drive failed, and I lost all the data.
Fortunately, I had a backup of my backup, so I avoided any serious trouble.

When I tried to defragment the "red" hard drive, the process stopped halfway through.
I’ve used that red drive for 10 years, so I’ve decided it’s time to retire it.
I bought a "green" hard drive.
Previously, I backed up to the red drive and then copied it to a "blue" hard drive.
Going forward, I will back up to the blue drive and then copy to the green drive.

I dispose of old PCs and hard drives by incinerating them.
While I don’t have any sensitive data I’d worry about others seeing, I prefer to avoid any potential issues.

I was surprised by the price increase when I recently purchased a hard drive.
Part of it is due to the weak yen, but prices seem to have risen by 1.5 to 2 times.

A refreshing breeze is blowing, and the scene is filled with light.

The typhoon seems to be taking an unusual path.
