　雨が上がり雲の切れ目から青空がのぞいています。

午後１時の気温は２７℃です。

雰囲気が変わりました。 The atmosphere has changed.

　仕立て屋さんに頼んだ新しいカーテンをつけました。

カーテンの色は今迄使っていた薄青から白色の風をとおす紗になりました。

４枚作ったので交換しながら使ってゆきます。

新しいカーテンで室内の雰囲気ががらりと変わりました。

　外から部屋の中を見ると光の当たるところだけ見えて光の当たらない場所は蔭になって見えません。

紗のカーテンがあるだけで外から見る室内の様子は変わります。

ソファに座っているとカーテンの外から室内を覗いている人が見えます。

室外からはソファの周りは蔭になって見えません。

光のマジックです。

　こちらのクリーニング屋さんは薄物を袋に入れて洗いません。

前に使っていたカーテンはクリーニングに出したせいでカーテンを通す金具の部分の布がほつれて酷いことになりました。

それ以来自分で洗っています。

自分で洗うとすすぎ洗いもきちんと３回するので布にシミやくすみが残りません。

　今の仕立て屋さんは前の仕立て屋さんと比べると裁縫は丁寧で仕立て上がりの期限も守ってくれます。

ウインドブレーカーの手首のゴムが伸び切って縮まなくなったので修理をお願いしています。

 I put up new curtains that I had the tailor make for me.

The color of the curtains has changed from the pale blue I had been using to a white, breathable gauze.

I made four curtains, so I'll be changing them sometimes.

The new curtains have completely changed the atmosphere of the room.

When you look into the room from outside, you can only see the areas that are in light, and the areas that are not in light are in shadow and cannot be seen.

Just having gauze curtains changes the way the room looks from the outside.

Sitting on the sofa, I can see people looking into the room through the curtains.

The area around the sofa is in shadow and cannot be seen from outside.

It's the magic of light.

 Here dry cleaner doesn't wash thin items in bags.

The curtains I used before were cleaned, and the fabric around the metal fittings that hold the curtains frayed and it got pretty bad.

Since then, I've been washing them myself.

When I wash them myself, I rinse them three times properly, so there are no stains or dullness left on the fabric.

 Compared to my previous tailor, my current tailor is more careful with his sewing and keeps to the deadline for finishing the clothes.

The elastic band around the wrist of my windbreaker has stretched out so much that it no longer shrinks, so I've asked them to repair it.

食休み、心地よい睡魔との戦い。 Rest after the meal, and the battle against the comfortable sleepiness.

 

　食休みをしていますか。

私は40分前後の食休みをとっています。

胃に消化のために血液が集まるんでしょうね。

脳に血液が行かないようで心地よい睡魔が襲ってきます。

眠らないようにしているんですがうとうとします。

モスキートキラーのパンッという音で目が覚める事が度々あります。

目が覚めたら３時間たっていたことが何回かありました。

夜眠れないわけではありません。

９時前後に就寝しています。

　空腹のときには餌をさがす、動物を狩るという原始の生存本能が働くので緊張して眠くならないそうです。

満腹で血液に栄養が回ると生存本能が働かなくなり眠くなるようです。

人間は今でも原始の食物摂取の生存本能に支配されているんですね。

食物摂取は人間が生きてゆくうえで欠かせませんからね。

 Do you take a rest after the meal?

I take it about 40 minutes.

I guess that's because blood gathers in the stomach for digestion.

It's as if blood isn't reaching the brain, and a pleasant drowsiness comes over me.

I try not to fall asleep, but I find myself dozing off.

I often wake up to the banging sound of an electric mosquito killer.

There have been a few times when I woke up three hours later.

It's not that I can't sleep at night.

I go to bed around 9 o'clock.

 When you're hungry, your primitive survival instinct to look for food and hunt animals kicks in, causing you to become tense but not sleepy.

When you're full and nutrients are circulating in your blood, your survival instinct stops and you get sleepy.

Humans are still controlled by the primitive survival instinct to eat.

Eating food is essential for humans to live.

気持ちのいい風が吹いています。

朝８時の気温は２６℃です。

晴れたので散髪に行って、新しカーテンを受け取り、食べ物を買いに行ってきます。

　インターネットの速度は戻りました。

　三日続けて夕方貯水槽の蓋を開けてみた。

洗濯をしたしシャワーも浴びた、台所で水を使った。

それでも1/4位しか水が減っていない。

給水の時間帯が変わったようだ。

夜中の給水に加えて昼間に給水されているようだ。

誠に喜ばしい事だ。

　前は夕方になると貯水槽に1/4位しか水が残っていなかった。

すすぎ洗いも３回している。

雨季だけの給水なのだろうか。

乾季になっても続いてほしいものだ。

 I opened the water tank lid in the evenings for three days.

I did laundry, showered, and used water in the kitchen.

Still, only about a quarter of the water had gone down.

The water supply times have changed.

In addition to the nighttime water supply, water is now being supplied during the day.

I'm very happy about this.

 Previously, there was only about a quarter of the water left in the water tank by the evening.

I rinse the washing machine three times.

I wonder if they only supply water during the rainy season.

I hope this continues into the dry season.

雨が降るとインターネットの速度が極端に落ちる。When it rains, the internet speed drops drastically.
