台風の発生する場所が変わった。 The location where typhoons originate has changed.

　３年前まで熱帯性低気圧はフィリピンの東方海上で発生していました。

今はミクロネシア・マーシャル諸島付近で熱帯性低気圧が発生しています。

そこから生まれた台風は偏西風の影響を受けないようです。

気象の素人はそう思いました。 

 Until three years ago, tropical depressions formed off the east coast of the Philippines.
Now, tropical depressions are forming near the Marshall Islands in Micronesia.
Typhoons that develop from these depressions appear to be unaffected by the westerlies.
That's what a weather layman like me thought.
