したなあ できるようになったなあ・・・。I've finally been able to do it.

　食べ物の話が続いたので最近感じていることを記します。

我ながらいい仕事が出来たなあ　と思う頃には定年でした。

最近やっとうまいご飯が炊けるようになりました。

洗濯も上手にできるようになりました。

パリパリに乾いたベッドに寝られるようになりました。

これってやっぱりかかわった年月とかかわった回数に関係があると思います。

年月・時間でいうと　やっとこの歳になって　やっとこれだけ時間をかけて　と実感しています。

物事が出来るようになったな　と感じるには時間がかかります。

残りの時間は反比例して少なくなりますが自分に残された時間は神・仏・宇宙の摂理の世界なので心配しても変わることはないと思っています。

そんな事を心配するくらいなら今日と言う日をできる範囲で真面目に過ごすように心がけています。

うらみ・つらみが無かったわけではありませんがその人とかかわりを断ってからは消えてゆきました。

私が意識しなければその事は見えないので無いことと同じになります。

　ストレスもなく生活していますが歳を重ねるにしたがって体力と知力の衰えを実感しています。

英単語・フレーズを例にとると今では見ただけで覚えられたことが覚えられなくなりました。

紙に書いて声に出しても忘れてしまうことが多くなりました。

このフレーズは3日前にやったよなあ　と思っても肝心な意味を思い出すことが出来ません。

調べなおして　そうそう、そうだったよな　と言う毎日を繰り返しています。

It takes time for me to feel like I've become able to do things.

The time I have left is decreasing in inverse proportion to the time I have left.

I believe that the time I have left is a world of God, Buddha, and the providence of the universe, so worrying about it won't change anything.

Rather than worrying about such things, I try to spend today as earnestly as I can.

It's not that I didn't have any resentment or pain, but it disappeared after I cut ties with that person.

If I don't pay attention to it, I won't see it, and it's as good as not happening.

 I live a stress-free life, but as I get older, I feel my physical and intellectual strength declining.

For example, when it comes to English words and phrases, I can no longer remember things that I used to be able to remember just by looking at them.

Even when I write them down and speak them out loud, I often forget them.

Even when I think, "I said this phrase three days ago," I can't remember the essential meaning.

Every day I find myself looking it up again and realizing, "Yes, that's right."

土鍋でご飯を炊くとフィリピン産のコシヒカリも少し甘くなります。

寒天のつるんとした喉越しと豆のサクサクした感触が心地よい。

食べ終わってから文旦の皮の香りがした。

生姜汁のほうが良かったのかもしれない。

こちらのスイーツはみな砂糖をまぶしたように甘すぎる。

目覚めと食後の甘味を楽しめます。

　アーラ社のチーズを取り扱っている店のチ－ズ売り場をのぞくのが楽しみです。

先日カマンベールチーズと並んで写真のブリーチ－ズを売っていました。

食べたことがなかったので食べてみました。

私の舌では同じ白カビタイプのカマンベールと味の違いは判りませんでした。

The other day, I saw the brie cheese pictured being sold alongside Camembert cheese.

I'd never tried it before, so I gave it a try.

To my palate, I couldn't discern the difference in taste between this and Camembert, which is also a type of white mold.

　強い陽が射しているのでミント入りのスプレーを使わず洗濯物を干した。

日陰になっている鉢植えの土の乾きを見に行ったら蚊に3か所刺された。

部屋に戻りミント入りのスプレーを刺された場所に吹きかけた。

いつものようにアルコール液が肌にチクッと沁みた。
