今日のハッシュブラウンは薄いターメリックの味がしました。 Today's hash browns had a faint turmeric flavor.

　いつも行く　　の皆さんです。

ダイビングはいつから始めるの　と聞かれたので　８月から　と答えました。

去年より顔色がいいね　と言われました。

心の中で喜びました。

なぜこちらの人みたいに喜べないんだろう。

こちらの人だったら　相好を崩して　サンキューを繰り返すします。

そんなことを思いながらコーヒーを飲みました。

今日のハッシュブラウンは薄いターメリックの味がしました。

These are the people from TUKO, where I always go.
They asked me when I was going to start , and I answered, "August."
They said my face is more blooming than last year.
I was happy inside.
Why can't I express my emotions as openly as the people who live here?
If they were here, they'd be beaming and repeating thank you.
I thought about that while drinking my coffee.
Today's had a faint flavor.

　手を広げてポーズをとって　と言われました。

出来ませんでした。

写真を撮られるとき無理に笑うと顔がひきつります。

The shopkeeper told me to spread my arms and pose.
I couldn't do it.
When I force a smile while having my picture taken, my face looks strained.

挟む本がないのは寂しいですね。 It's lonely without any books to put in it.

　木の伐採を生業としている家の脇に丸太がありました。

斜めに切ったら使いやすいブックエンドになりそうです。

こちらに来た時に本は処分しました。

ブックエンドに挟む本がありません。

挟む本がないのは寂しいですね。

There was a log beside the house of someone who makes a living cutting trees.
If I cut it diagonally, it would make a handy bookend.
I got rid of my books when I came here.
I don't have any books to put in the bookend.
It's lonely without any books to put in it.

　売りに出ていた家に買い手がついたようです。

家が小ぎれいになりました。

It seems the house that was for sale has found a buyer.
The house looks much neater now.

　椰子から作った酒　ツッバ　の販売所です。

飲まずに放っておくと酢になるそうです。

This is a shop selling Tsuba, a liquor made from coconuts.
Apparently, if you leave it out without drinking it, it turns into vinegar.

　沿岸をマングローブの林にする運動は進んでいます。

人が来て毎日苗木に水をあげています。

苗木はたくさん育ちました。

The movement to transform the coastal area into mangrove forests is progressing.
People come every day to water the seedlings.
Many seedlings have grown.

　住まいの隣の港は満潮でした。

海で身体を洗っている人もいました。

The harbor next to my home was at high tide.

Some people were washing themselves in the sea.

　新しい太陽蓄熱の電灯がつきました。

夜カーテンに映る木の影が変わりました。

The new solar-powered light fixture has been installed.

The shadows of the trees cast on the curtains at night have changed.

　お二階さんの家庭菜園です。

鶏も飼っています。

This is the vegetable garden on the second floor.

They also keep chickens.

彼女の優しい親切と素敵な笑顔で心の迷いが解けました。 Her kind gesture and lovely smile dispelled my indecision.

　朝の散歩をしていたら、かわいい少女に呼び止められました。

これ使う　といって木の皮を剥いた杖を指さしました。

おはようございます。

ありがとう。

使いませんと答えました。

７、８歩歩いた時に少女が戻ってきました。

優しい声で　ちゃんと水を飲んでね　と言われました。

教えてくれてありがとう、写真を撮らしてくれる　といって写したのが上の写真です。

　彼女の優しい親切と素敵な笑顔で心の迷いが解けました。

ダイビングをもう一度やり直すことにしました。

ボートの下の３から５メートルから始めます。

除湿剤の中からカメラとレンズを出しました。

While I was taking my morning walk, a cute little girl called out to me.
She pointed to a debarked walking stick and said, "Use this."
I replied, "Good morning.
Thank you.
I won't be using it."
After walking seven or eight steps, the girl came back.
She said in a gentle voice, "Make sure you drink plenty of water."
Okay, I will! Thanks for telling me, and I asked if I could take a picture, which is the photo above.
Her kind gesture and lovely smile dispelled my indecision.
I decided to try diving again.
I'll start from three to five meters below the boat.
I took my camera and lens out of the many Desiccant packets.

　優しい少女のおかげで心の霧が晴れました。

きれいな青空だなあ。

Thanks to the kind girl, the fog in my heart cleared.

What a beautiful blue sky.

　モリンガに黄色い花が咲いていました。

初めてみました。

Yellow flowers were blooming on the moringa tree.

It was the first time I'd ever seen them.

　牛の親子もわんこも、のんびりと寛いでいました。

The mother cow and her calf, as well as the dog, were all relaxing peacefully.

気持ちの良い風が吹いています。　A pleasant breeze is blowing.　

　昨夜降り始めた雨はあさの９時ごろやみました。

昨夜から降り続いた雨は朝の９時ごろ上がりました。

気持ちの良い風が吹いています。

午後２時の気温は２９℃です。

歌はロイ・オービソンの「オンリー・ザ・ロンリー」です。
