日本の梅雨のようにしとしとと長雨になることはありません。

こちらに住んでいるのでこれでやっと渇水期は終わりになるなと思っています。

水道の給水が午後と夜間の２回になると節水せずに済みます。

これで危険な日中の日差しと決別できるのでほっとしています。

 We'll be having squalls from now on.
The squalls will last at most about an hour.
They won't be like the long, steady rain of Japan's rainy season.
Since I live here, I think this finally marks the end of the water shortage.
When the water supply is replenished twice a day, in the afternoon and at night, we don't have to conserve water.

 It's raining now, and a cool breeze is blowing. 
I'm relieved that this means I can finally get rid of the terrible midday sun.
