　朝起きて果物を食べるのが習慣になりました。

スプーンで果肉を掬って皿に盛りヨーグルトをかけて食べています。

飲酒を続けていた時には考えられない習慣です。

果物を食べないと酷使してきた身体も脳も目覚めてくれません。

　こちらの果物の旬はいまだにわかりません。

店にその果物がたくさん並んでいるのを見て　今これが旬なんだな　と判断しています。

きのうは店にドラゴンフルーツがたくさん並んでいたので買いました。

ふわふわして種がプチプチする不思議な味です。

まだ白い果肉のドラゴンフルーツは食べたことがありません。

 I have gotten into the habit of eating fruit when I wake up in the morning.
I scoop the flesh with a spoon, put it on a plate, and eat it with yogurt.
This is a habit I would never have imagined when I was drinking alcohol.
My body and brain don't wake up unless I eat fruit.
 I still don't know when the fruit here is in season.
When I see a bunch of them lined up in the store, I decide that it's in season now.
There was a lot of dragon fruit lined up in the store yesterday, so I bought one.
It's fluffy and has a strange, popping texture and a seed taste.
I've never tried dragon fruit with white flesh before.

　いつも出汁は鰹節・鰹節の粉・煮干し粉でとっいます。

これけっこういい出汁がでるんです。

 I always make dashi with dry bonito, bonito powder, and dried sardine powder.
This makes a good dashi.

　日本で買った化学調味料（今はうま味調味料というんですね・日本は言葉の使い方がおかしくなっています）が冷蔵庫の奥にあったので使ってみました。

化学調味料を湯でといて味噌をとかし味見をしました。

驚きました、おいしいんです、しかも後味がいいんです。

化学調味料の進化の凄さに　うーん　と考え込みました。

でも天然の出汁の素材を使うのは止めませんよ。

 I had some synthetic seasoning (now called umami seasoning - Japan has a strange way of using words) that I bought in Japan in the back of the fridge, so I tried using it.
I dissolved the synthetic seasoning in hot water, added miso paste, and tasted it.
I was surprised, it tasted good, and it even had a nice aftertaste.
I was left thinking, "Hmmmm," at how amazing synthetic seasonings have evolved.
But I won't stop using natural dashi ingredients.

Mt. Apo. アポ山。

　フィリピン・ミンダナオ島産のMt. Apo.コーヒーを飲んでいます。

ペーパーフィルターを使って低めの湯で抽出しています。

優しいフルーティーさと酸味があります。

フィリピンはコーヒーベルトのなかにあります。

寒暖差のせいでしょぅか天に近いほど・標高が高いほど良質なコーヒーが採れると言われています。

アポ山の標高は3000ｍ弱です。

 I'm drinking Mt. Apo coffee from Mindanao, Philippines.
I am brewing using a paper filter with hot water at about 85°C.
It has a gentle, fruity, and acidic flavor.
The Philippines is located in the coffee belt.
Due to the temperature difference, it's said that the closer to the sky and the higher the altitude, the better the quality of the coffee produced.
Mt. Apo is at an altitude of just under 3,000 meters.
