一雨こないかなあ。
雨季なのに晴れの日が続いています。
スコールもありません。
給水制限になったようです。
いつも午後10時頃から給水が始まり、受水槽を満タンにしてくれます。
小鳥の飲水・水浴びの水にことかいています。
小鳥たちが水浴びをしたくて水飲みの皿にとまっても皿に水がありません。
皿の上を歩き回ってからから飛び去ってゆきます。
台風の発生が東の太平洋上に移動してから降雨量が少なくなりました。
晴れの日がふえて旅行者は喜んでいるかもしれません。
地元民は雨がふらないと困ります。
We could really use some rain.
Even though it's the rainy season, the sunny days just keep coming.
We haven't even had a single squall.
It seems they've imposed water rationing.
Usually, the water supply kicks in around 10:00 PM and fills the storage tank.
I'm running short on water for the small birds to drink and bathe in.
The birds land on the water dish wanting to bathe, but there's no water.
They pace around the dish for a moment, then fly off.
The area where typhoons form has shifted from east of the Philippine islands to the open Pacific Ocean further east.
Since then, rainfall has decreased.
Tourists might be happy about the increase in sunny days.
But for the locals, the lack of rain is a problem.
